So sorry to hear you're going through this, it's scary enough being an adult suffereing pvc's.

I'm a member of another forum that has people from age 6-90 on it who have had serious heart problems and had pacemakers/defribrillators implanted.  There is no "magical" age you're allowed to have problems, but it's important your parents understand what you're going through.

You need a full workup with monitor, stress test, echo etc if you haven't.  This will show if something may be wrong with you.  PVC's are a normal part of the heart and everyone has them at some point, some of us alot more than others.  Some of us have no damage from them, while others develop major things; but we all still suffer from the insanity they cause and unless you've experienced them someone may not know what it feels like.

Keep a journal; write down when, where, why and how, how you felt. Keep track of what you're eating & drinking, sometimes dehydration can make pvc's worse, caffeine, stress, illness or nothing at all can make them worse.

I would talk to my parents & doctor and tell them how it's making you feel and they may prescribe an anti-anxiety med for you to help you cope.  It's always best to let your doctor and parents know how you're feeling - even if it's showing them your journal of symptoms.

It always saddens me to read post written by so many young people who are afraid they are dying due to heart disease. Sinus arrhythmias are normal. The heart rate speeds up and slows down as a person breathes in and out, that's exactly what a sinus arrhythmia is, nothing more. PVCs and PACs are also normal events that take place in the heart's electrical system. They are the 'backup system' for the SA and AV Nodes in the heart. All of the heart cells have the ability to 'fire off impulses' on their own. Stress and panic will make this problem much worse due to adrenaline being increased in the body. When PACs/PVCs become a life threatening issue is when there is structural problems in the heart itself, such as with having a cardiomyopathy (disease of the heart muscle) When you read about young people dying, it is usually due to a cardiomyopathy. At your age, my daughter was dying from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Letting your fears get the best of you at your age isn't going to be good because, first there is no basis for it, and secondly, it will cause all of your friends to 'leave you behind'. Don't do that to yourself, you will regret it for the rest of your life.

It sounds like your'e freaking yourself out a little, but hang in there.  A halter monitor is a good idea, and it will release any thoughts of something serious. If you want further inspection, have an echo stress test.  It will really show if there are any physiologic problems with your heart, but this is unlikely.  All  the apprehension you feel is panicked based.  So once you get concrete reassurance that your heart is in good order, stop thinking of dying young.  Sinus arrhythmia is very common and will not harm you.  If you drink lots of sodas, smoke, etc, these things aggravate your heart and anxiety, so be cautious of those. ! Redbull = 6 cups of coffee.  Why is this even on the market?  Take it easy and as time passes, you will see that you're perfectly fine.
no-fate's suggestion is really good.  Try it.

I had the ablation for afib and tachycardia's, the ablation could not be  done on my pvc's since they were originating to close to my artery.   I take the beta blocker for the pvc's.

Hi,
Didn't you get an ablation done? How come you're still on a beta blocker?

Hi,

Alot of people on this site can relate to how you are feeling.  I would ask your dr for a holter monitor,  maybe a little reassurance would help you feel better.  If you wear the monitor for 24-48 hours and the things you feel are recorded you can be reassured what they are and that they wil not harm you.     I have been where you are, I have 3 kids I would be afraid to take them out.   I am now on a beta blocker and have my life back.   Find a doctor that will listen to you and validate your concerns.

Good Luck and you can always come here for support.
