skipped beats anyone???

Hi all! I have PSVT.
Anyway, tonight I had really wierd experience. I was sitting, watching tv and my heart started skipping, sometimes every minute, sometimes several minutes apart. It was frightening, I could feel it as it happened. Called dr and he said do not worry unless it gets worse or my heart increases alot.
It did go away after about 30 minutes, but my chest feels heavy and sore. This was also after I ate, ( more than I usually do).
I was researching how the vagal nerve can affect this... anyone know any good info on this.
I guess I will stick to the small meals, spaced out... don't want this feeling again. And darn, my heart rate/ feeling was so good lately.
Anyone with any experience or help/info is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

I believe the clotting concern is specific to AFib, and to other atrial irregularities, generally not to ventricle misbehaving.  None-the-less, if you are not on an anticoagulant and your stomach can take it, an aspirin a day with one of your small meals may provide some protection.  Many people take aspirin just as a good heart practice.  I do, but then I also take warfarin and suffer from AFib.

Hi. I have atrial fibrulation and this has been controlled by medicine  (drugs) However I have been having a few missed beats just lately and so my doctor is sending me to hospital to check as to why this is happening.
He said that when the heart misses beats that it does not empty of blood, that is why blood thinning medicine is needed to stop chance of clots.
Obviously your doctor is aware of your situation and why this is happening and it is good he is taking care of you.
Food never affected my heart but we are all different .
Let us know how you are getting on.
