Hawthorn berries and Toprol

Hi. Since it's the weekend i can't get a hold of my doctor to ask this question, though i will this week. I take Toprol for my heart, and i have really bad PACs, so i was suggested to take the Hawthorn. Obviously on the internet it says you should ask your doctor before taking the two together, as Toprol slows your heart, and supposedly Hawthorn does the opposite? Anyways, i am not taking the Hawthorn yet, just wanted to see if there were any ppl out there who takes the two together, and if it messed with them. Like i said, i know what i've read about not mixing the two before you ask the doctor, just was wanting feedback from those that do or have. Thanks!

Thanks Delta. See, i've read different stuff about it. I've always read that they can potentially reduce arrhythmias, but i've never read that they can cause them. A lot of people swear by it, but i have read that there were various side effects, as to most things like that.

I've read that Hawthorne will increase arrythmias, so I avoid it.  I find it is a common ingredient in herbal teas.  I don't take ANYTHING I haven't check out.

No clue but you could also try calling your pharmacist as they might be helpful as well and they are usually available on the weekends.
