Are hemorrhoids related to pain in the genitals?

Hello.

I have some external hemorrhoids, two pea-sized balls in the outer end of the anus. They sometimes give me "spasms" (a sudden moment of pain right in that spot). The doctor told me that I don't have internal hemorrhoids, however,

1. could the presence of hemorrhoids (external or internal), affect the genitals, like a "refered pain" in a way that my brain transfers the bad sensations from the anus to the testicles or penis?

2. Could the presence of internal hemorrhoids lead to a more than regular urge to urinate, like if they were "pressing" something inside the body?

Thanks.

Hello.

Thanks for your response. I'm 34, and the doctor (a proctologist) checked the prostate in the exam I took for the hemorrhoids, and told me it was ok.
