External hem heal time?

I am 48 year old male. I developed two thrombosed external hems at end of January. They didn’t hurt. I ran three miles the next day and one bled and healed within 3-4 weeks. The other one is still there after almost three months. It is smaller for sure. I am fine when I am standing, walking or laying down. It bothers me when I sit. It’s about the size of a pea or half that and you can barely feel it now.  I have a follow up with colorectal doc this week.  I have added fiber, tons of water, etc. BMs are regular and good.  Any idea how long this annoyance will last?! I can imagine the doc will recommend surgery for a small external hem? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
