AIH and birth control

I have AIH and was originally told id never be able to get pregnant...Well I have now had 2 children so I am very FERTILE and am in need of some birth control information. What types are safe? Anyone know? I know i cant take the pill and i thought i could get like Mirena but that site says not to if you have acute liver disease. HELP please. I go for my 4 weeks postpartum check up Nov 3 and I dont want another pregnancy (our first daughter was lost at 36 weeks due to stillbirth and had a very hard 2nd pregnancy due to the fact but she is healthy :))!!

Hi, I have AIH too and was pre-diagnosis getting the DepoProvera shot. I still get it and none of my doctors have said anything about it not being ok for the liver.

Sorry, I have no idea as to what method of birth control is best for you. Don't you have a hepatologist that could help you make that determination?
