Hello,  Lynn has given you an excellent answer.  I was just passing by and wanted to say hi.
I never showed signs of having contracted Hepatitis C while a friend of mine turned yellow.
After being exposed it was suggested that I get a gama globulin shot, well this was back in the 70's; the shot contained blood.  I caught Hepatitis C.
What a cruel joke on me.  It is thought that the shot kept me from showing signs of the HCV and it was 30 years until I was diagnosed.
I hope you don't have any kind of Hepatitis.

Hi

How does one contract Hepatitis?

It depends of the type of Hepatitis. If you are asking about viral hepatitis there are five known types:

Hepatitis A is usually spread by eating or drinking food or water contaminated with infected feces.

Hepatitis B is transmitted by exposure to infectious blood or body fluids.

Hepatitis C is spread primarily by blood-to-blood contact associated with intravenous drug use, poorly sterilized medical equipment, and transfusions.

Hepatitis D is considered to be a subviral satellite because it can propagate only in the presence of the hepatitis B virus. Transmission of HDV can occur either via simultaneous infection with HBV (coinfection) or superimposed on chronic hepatitis B or hepatitis B carrier state.

Hepatitis E has a fecal-oral transmission route.

There are also
Alcoholic Hepatitis
Toxic and drug-induced hepatitis
Autoimmune Hepatitis
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
Ischemic hepatitis and
Giant cell hepatitis

Would hepatitis cause chronic sore throat?
No

The most common symptoms of hepatitis are:

    Loss of appetite.
    Fatigue.
    Mild fever.
    Muscle or joint aches.
    Nausea and vomiting.
    Abdominal pain.

My skin hasn;'t turned yellow at all.

Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes) if it occurs would be either a symptom of acute hepatitis infection or late stage liver disease. Not everyone with hepatitis or even liver cirrhosis experiences jaundice.

If you have concerns consult with your doctor. We are not doctors here just lay persons.

good luck
