Possible AIH...

I have been back and forth with my GI and i was diagnosed with Chronic Hepatitis with mild to moderate portal and lobular inflammatory activity and stage 2-3/4 Fibrosis. Im confused because my doctor took a serology for AIH and i believe the results came out negative. ( Not completely confirmed ) This is all new to me and a bit stressful because i dont know what im up against, im not familiar with medical terminology. Has anyone been diagnosed with Chronic Hepatitis and told it might also be autoimmune hepatitis? Any insight on this will be somewhat of a stress reliever. Also what in the world does Stage 2-3/4 Fibrosis mean?.

Hi I can understand how frustrating and confusing this is.
Usually they will give one stage or another.  From what you wrote it looks as it you are close to a 3 but not quite.
While I have never seen there may be others who will come along and can help you better than I can.
Did they say the Hepatitis was autoimmune?  Have you googled autoimmune?
At the top of the page where you posted your question there is a magnifying glass icon, you can click on that and search for more information. I will also try to take a look and come back

Take care
