There's nothing wrong in trying but at the same time we have to be vigilant. This is case to case basis. Like you, I was diagnosed recently of having Hepa B. I am a medical worker and I am fully aware of this and had received my shot of Hepa B last 2008. But still, I contracted the infection.
First things first, don't be fooled na gumaling, nawala ang Hepa B ko because of this and that etc. Please remember that Hepa B is a virus and self limiting in nature just like colds, flu etc. If contracted during adult, there is 95% of clearing the virus within 6 months. More than that, chronic Hepa B ang mangyayari. This is now my case, I am under observation if I WILL be able to clear the virus within 6 mos. To add it up, this is the best time to do all the best possible means of enhancing, strengthening your immune system. Google it!
If you only have HBSAg with a value na hindi naman ganun kataasan at HbeAg (-), then, mas ok! make sure na sabihan ang family members na mag pa screen at mag pa vaccine ng HepB kung negative ASAP! Iwasan din muna ang intercourse, sharing of needles,razors etc. na may possible blood transmission.
If Chronic ka na, ask an expert Gastro Doctor or Hepatologist. He may ask for UTZ of the abdomen, fibroscan, Hep B Full panel or HBV DNA.
Kahit saan dyan to determine a baseline info sa case mo. In my case, I am not taking any medication yet like Antivirals since I am still under monitoring KUNG mamawala yung virus or not.
Formula:
Acute: Lifestyle Modification + Frequent monitoring of HepB panel under such time na clear na.
Chronic: Seek a doctor, Submit yourself to Antiviral therapy or Interferon (may kamahalan) pero
napapababa yung virus level para hindi humantong sa Liver cirrhosis and cancer.
