Can I still reach my Dream? Is there a life after Hepatitis B?

Im a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in FEU and I now, a REGISTERED NURSE as I passed the Nov 2008 board examination. I graduated as *** LAUDE in my school hoping that this recognition could bring me to success. Until now, i can't believe that all my dreams will just fade because of my condition. I was diagnosed with hepatitis B when we had our screening when I was in 2nd year college..I wAS so blessed that i was able to finish college even with this kind of condition. But now, that i'm a registered nurse, new worries and fears hunted me..." Do I still have a chance to work as a nurse in the other country?" " iS it possible for me to work here in the Philippines as a nurse knowing that Filipinos are not that open and very strict with regards to this kind of topics?" Now I don't know what to do...Im just praying for someone that God will send to me, which will serve as his instrument in giving me hope and encouragement with regards to my condition. I'm a healthy carrier since I got this disease from my mom...Hope for your reply

dapat u ipaalam sa kanila or sa family u para aware cl sa kalagayan mo.Don't wori ako ay mayroon din 1994 nagapply ako for SAudi nalaman nila na may sakit ako di pa mahigpit noon.now for good na ako last 2009,at 2014 na ngayon ito buhay pa din.mayroon ako naramdaman sa kaliwang dibdib ko midyo masakit.piro malusog naman ako.basta umiwas ka na lang sa bisyo.ika nga lagi ka may limitasyon lalo na sa alcohol.

Thank God i found this site! May mapagshare-an na din ako sa wakas ng frustrations ko sa buhay. I am hepb choric at transtmitted na daw, at kahit isang myembro ng pamilya ko o bestfriend ay walang nakakaalam nito kundi tanging ako lang. Natatakot akong malaman nila ang kalagayan ko. I found this virus in my college days back in 2009 at gumuho talaga ang mga pangarap ko. Nakapag trabaho naman ako pero in the end di ako nareregular dahil pag nirequire na ang medical dun na ko bumabagsak. I called it as a curse! Parang inalisan tayo ng karapatan na makapamuhay at makapagtrabaho ng malaya. Everytime na naiisip ko ang kalagayan ko lalo na ang katayuan ko sa buhay ngayon, na dapat may maganda akong career at bubuo na ng pamilya, parang gumuguho ang mundo ko at unti unti akong pinapatay ng kalagayan na to. Sana naman may makatulong sa atin sa kalagayan na to.

hi.. im a carrier myself since birth din and also RN.. dito sa pinas pwede tayong mkapagwork.according to my HR head,  na my philippine policy daw sa health org dito na bawal e deny sa work jst bcz of our illness.. stay positive..

Good to hear that. As of 2018 hnd na aq nakapgpractice. I'm working now as an English teacher dito sa Paraguay.
