we are in a balance of damage and repair, liver damage happens only when repair is blocked for unknown reasons.

fibroscan will detect changes in grade of fibrosis before you get liver damage.your doctor is talking about bull**** the only reasons to start antivirals are:

get rid of hbsag by peginterferon add on after many years on antiviral

prevention of hcc after 40yo or if genotype C, although antivirals cannot prevent hcc 100% but only lower risk

prevention of liver damage when fibroscan gets higher than 7kpa

it makes no sense to start antivirals if fibroscan is normal or about normal 6-7kpa, the doctor is not willing to prescribe pegintf add on in the future to cure hbv, the patient is young

And being i would be married after 6-7 months so he says i should start medication he is confident that even if fibroscan report comes all good i have to start medication because of load

But as per my doc how long can i push back my meds since every 6 months i have to do the fibroscan and my viral load is high as well , he wants to play safe here and recommends to start medication.

Fibroscan can be wrong and misleading if you have inflammation (ie high alt or viral load). if i were you i will do fibroscan anyway just to get an idea so if fibroscan is low and you have high viral load then you know you are ok and no medicine is needed.

my doc i reasercher and best doc in France and never take such decision even my condition is wort than yours
never take meds before be sure that the virus do damage to liver i mean existanece of fibrosis stage 2

Another thing which the doctor mentioned that AntiBody to AntiGen is more harmful than AntiGen E Positive how is it ?
He mentioned to me that i can continue taking any food since I'm all good with my liver just try to avoid alcohol and fatty foods and just try to make sure you dont turn into a fatty person.

Here is the name of the tablet from prescription please let me know what is it ? Also the doc said the medicine wont be available with chemist and i would have to call the company to get this medicine

He has given me the medication for Tenofir(I'll confirm the name) and he says i dont need to go through fibroscan since my load is high and in anyways i have to bring down the load whether or not fibroscan reports show positive or not also he says if you want to go through go ahead but not taking medicine and relying on chance that it would go down is just a possibility which are you trying to do as you plan to get married its important to bring down the load.He even mentioned that if you want take another doc advise infact he said take 2 more doc advise since the second doc opinion is going to be confusing so better visit 3 docs.


Finally he mentioned that reason why fibroscan is not required is because its better to take precaution and slow down the virus now instead of taking a chance.

Hi , If you can visit Delhi .. please take appointment with Institute of Liver & Billary Science ( ILBS ) this hospital is known for liver treatment only  also they have the latest Fibroscan machine.. I am taking the treatment from them ..Visit their website and take appointment..

go for fibroscan anyway that s a test we all must do yearly unless one is on antivirals with hbvdna und and normal alt since years and already knows fibroscan baseline was normal

i d consider another doctor because the choice to treat or not is based on liver damage mainly, looks like this doctor is not updated.members from india posted a center which is very updated and one of the best internationally

My doctor was telling me that presence of Anti Body to Antigen E positive is more dangerous than HbeAG + for which i'm negative

Thanks Not sure why my doctor didn't want me to go through as per other doc its done to know stage of liver cirrhosis and whether treatment given is being responded or not but still I'm gonna ask the doctor for reason why i should not go for fibroscan

Your viral load will fluctuate so now its 35000 iu and if you test next day it will be less or more so usually a good doctor will run full tests every 3 months for a year to find out the pattern and if you are precore mutant (chronic eag negative) or inactive carrier. If you ask me now i would say you have chrinic eag negative but a fibroscan is a must to see if you have fibrosis. Also hbsag quantitative is helpful. For food try to avpid lot of oil sugar and food wich is not healthy and wich make liver works more .eat lot vegetables 3fruit max.for sport try to do it is good for us hbv patien or for healthy people.drink water avoid coca Pepsi and so one try to prepare what you eat.
I eat lot vegetables wich I prepare my self;I don't like and don't drink coca.....i walk every day one hour (with my children).
Eat bread with complete cereals once a month or twice I enjoy my self with some cake or chocolate or pizza.
Also I take natural supplement honey plus black seeds plus jelly royal plus propolis.to boost immune syst.

Thanks , I asked my doc and he said fibroscan is not needed i was talking on phone will be visiting him tomorrow and will be asking why he did he said that.
Also medicine name would be given by the doc.

Anything else i should be asking ? He said I can eat any food , exercise is not mandatory whats your take on food and exercise ?

I cant tell you if your viral load do damage or not some times very high viral load  don't do damage and contrary.for this you have to do fibroscan or biopsy because you have no data before this.maybe in the past you had an activation of virus and you don't know maybe not.so when you discover for the first time you have this illness docs wait and put the patient under monitoring to see the evolution and how your body react towards.
For side effects some sides effects can be controlled like bone loss .you should check your vit d and ca .for kidney try to drink lot water and your doc will do necessary don't worry.those antiviral are always under studies for viread is used for HIV patients and recently shows it effective on hbv and it hasn't long time to be used by hbv patient but it is well supported.baraclude also many patients take it some times resistance observed.so it is the Jo of you doc to decide.

You don't feel any thing in taking antiviral but you should be always under monitoring like bones density.kidney function and other test.don't worry when you are followed by a good doc he will check every thing .many here take treatment over years and they have no side effects.others do.
You can read here in forum the experience of many patients takingtreatment.
But before taking them;you should do fibroscan because treatment is imposed when you have f2fibrosis.ask your doc about this and he will explain to you
