I take this for my HSV1 and I think it works. I had 4 outbreaks in the first 6 months of 2015. I started taking it in about Sep of 15 and haven't had another outbreak since. I take 250mg a day in the morning (1 pill) and if I miss a day I just take 2 the next (not at the same time). I have taken up to 1000mg a day but it does sort make you queasy/feel funny, and taking it with alcohol is not good idea (really makes you feel off). Anyway, I think it works and even if it's just a placebo effect I don't care because I haven't had an outbreak in a year now. I will continue to take this for at least another year.
I do have a rethink that even if Vitamin D3 is an antioxidant (based on new findings) too I should still take it if it is deficient in my body. And I think it was a misconception I had about having too much antioxidants in my body.
So, I just need someone who knows about the relevant test to be done, and/or a suggested or recommended daily dosage of Vitamin D3.
I am now getting to start considering taking Vitamin D3 too, but I don't want too much antioxidants in my body, as BHT is also an antioxidant. I will decide on it later. It should be noted that Vitamin D3 also has serious side effects if not taken appropriately.
Thank you Mr stef2011. While I was navigating around, I saw that you are very active here. Thanks for being there.
So, as regards Tenofovir, my doctor hasn't prescribed it until my viral load results will be out next month (September 2015), possibly due to technical issues at the lab.
I really wish that people who go against BHT really come out simple enough and politely bring facts against it, and not just say BHT is not a solution to Hepatitis B. I willl be able to say more facts in the coming months. I really wanna personally get to the bottomnof this BHT thing.
not interested in BHT since we have all the drugs to manage hbv perfectly, if you look at the community it is full of studies on vit d3, liposomes and antioxidants for the liver, for hbv the drugs are tenofovir, peginterferon and its combination and the curing drugs only on the trials for now rep9ac also in combo with peg and tdf
Also, I forgot to mentioned that I have done an abdominal ultrasound and result showed that all my abdominal organs look well and are normal in size. So, I will also repeat all the key tests again in coming months.
Also, I learned about vitamin D3 specifically, but I don't know the dosage about it. A research showed that in chronically infected Hepatitis B patients, those with higher viral loads have lower levels of Vitamin D3 in their body, while those with lower viral loads have higher levels of Vitamin D3. And medical facts also say that Vitamin D3 assists the body in fighting infections. I am not considering Vitamin D3 yet because my doctor will possibly not recommendbit or/and I dont know how the dosage should be for me. I am an adult anyway.
Eventually, I will post links to the facts and comments I have made so far, if anyone needs them. But iy is relatively easy to google some of the things I havr said.
I don't know much about the policies on theis website, but I have avoided posting website links. And importantly, I don't know if this website is against BHT too because I saw a thread that was closed down because people werebarguing about BHT. So, if you don't get more messages from me, at most in the next six months after this August 2015, that means I have possibly been blocked. And please, I am not here to advocate for BHT yet, I am just beginning to try it and prove if it works or not. I don't think it can harm me at the dosages I have neen taking as I decribed in my previous comments.
That's it for now. I wish and pray for everyone who has Hepatitis B the best and recovery.
Hello sir, I have tried to send you a message here, but I get notified that you can't recieve messages. Please read my comments down here. I want to encourage you to give us more info on BHT's antiviral use. I beginning to try it myself.
PS: I mistakenly tapped the. "Post A Comment" button without being through with my furst comment. I use a touchscreen device and that happens.
So, continuing from my previous post above...
So, since 18 August or so, I started taking BHT. I have researched enough about it. I love my life, and I have decided to start taking it. I will be coming back here to post more story about how effective BHT is. This is my furat time of trying it. I think I got unfected in january this year 2015, and now from 18th August, I am beginning to take BHT. I am taking 500mg per day, I.e. 250mg morning and another in the evening. Making 2 doses of 250mg of BHT per day.
I bought BHT by simply searching on Amazon website. I bought the one with 250mg capsules.
I have read a lot of articles online arlready, on BHT's possible or evident antiviral effect on lipid coated viruses like Herpes virus, HIV, Hepatitis B & C viruses, etc. Again, I love my life and I don't wanna lose it to Hepatits B. My doctor says I should not take any anti-viral drug until my "viral load" test results will be out in September (2015) next month. But it seems "Tenofovir" may be the drug he will eventuly prescribe. II don't want to take any of these appproved antiviral drugs because I learned that they can cause the virus to have a fierce come-back if a patient stops taking the drugs even after about a year. And this further makes me believe that these pharmaceutical firms are trying to make money for life on viral ailments. I have learned a lot about new developments and reasearch going on on Hrpatitis B & C, and I am hopeful that a relatively cheap FDA-approved cure is finally around the corner in the coming few years or months or so. I am hopeful, but I don't wanna take any of the currently approved antiviral drugs. I believe that when the comoetition becomes fierce for these pharmaceutical firms like Gilead, antiviral drugs will become cheap and a cure will possibly be available. And those are more reasons I believe the opinion of people who has said that BIG pharmaceutical firms dont want us to discover alternative solutions like BHT.
So, I am not yet advocating for BHT, until I do further tests in months time. Presently, other tests I performed on kidney function, electrolytes, bload cell count, etc. all came out to be normal while I have been taking "Essential Forte" and then "Livolin". Since I have been taking BHT, I take it together with "Livolin" or sometime space them out guessing that they shouldn't really jnterfere with eachother, and I am yet to do those kindey function tests and others. I will repeat the tests after some months again...and redo my liver function and viral load tests again, and that's how I wanna be monitoring the effectiveness of BHT.
Although, as people have reported online, I also experienced some dizziness, headaxhe, etc. when I took 500mg of BHT at once. But now, as I have said, I space them out into 250mg dosage twice a day still to make up 500mg per day.
So, I have been taking BHT for almost 2 weeks now, for HEPATITIS B. I started on Tuesday 18th August 2015. And today is 28th August. I have read a lot about it online. The entry for it on Wikipedia makes mention of its Antiviral effect too, but that there are no enough evidence for such, but it cites various references to scientific research works done on it as regards the contended antiviral effects BHT has. Also, google for "BHT Google patent" and you should be presented with results from Google's patent directory, indicating that some firm or people have tried to file for patents on the use of this drug as an antiviral and how it prevents fibrogenesis among others.
I was recently diagnosed with Chronic Hepatits B, on 8th Agust 2015. Which was confirmed by about 3 series of more detailed tests (from 20th August onwards) that collectively indicated that HBsAg is +ve, HBcAb (IgM) is -ve, and HBcAb (IgG) is +ve. Those three things (antigen and antibody) suggest what stage the infection is. The results afforedescribed suggest chronic Hepatits B. Also, my HBeAg was +ve at the earlier time I did tests but turned -ve over 2 weeks or so as the tests had some days in between them (because I was tdoing more tests to confirm from other labs over those weeks), and what prompted me to go for tests was the yellowing of my eyes at irregular intervals which was also happening during the course of the weeks I was doing those tests, with my urine kinda on the dark side too (amber coloured, as decribed by the lab scientists). Other antigens and antibodies I didn't mention were all -ve, i.e. the HBsAb, HBeAb, etc.
I should also mention that I sarted taking "Essential Forte" once a day, a drug that aifs liver function, as prescribed by the doctor I first met, and did that fir 30 days through around the time I did the earlier test around the middle of July 2015 though to August 2015. The next doctor, who is a gastroenterologist, that I was referred to said I should start taking "Livolin" when I am/was done with the previous "Essential Forte". And since a number of weeks ago, I have started taking "Livolin" twice a day and yet to complete the first 30 days.
Also, I have done about 2 series of liver function tests, the first results were on the high side, e.g. ALT and co were really high, but I had been taking "Essential Forte" during the time I did the tests. I don't know if Essential Forte influenced the reaults in any way. The first round of liver function test results are thus (As at 20th July 2015)...
AST (GOT): 581 (Normal range: <= 38) IU/L
ALT (GPT): 339 (Normal range: <= 41) IU/L
ALK PHOS: 682 (Normal range: <= 129) IU/L
GGT: 225 (Normal range: <= 66) IU/L
So, they were pretty high.
The next liver function test was on 5th August 2015, which I did at another hospital/lab. The night before the test, I didn't take Essential Forte, hoping that I could just see how my liver is doing without a day of Essential Forte. The results are thus...
ASAT: 80 (Normal range: <= 40) IU/L
ALAT: 170 (Normal range: <= 40) IU/L
AlK Phos: 218 (Normal range: 240) IU/L
So, it seems Essential Forte may have helped overtime, but I learned that current acute symptoms seen manifested by people who already have chronic Hepatits B may hust be experiencing what is called a "flare", which stops again over a course of days or weeks.
I possibly contracted the infection around early or middle of January 2015, and around that time I joined this website. I was beginning to experience sore throat days/weeks after having unprotected sex. As at that time, it was just that, and according to medical info, sore throat can be caused by viral infections. I initially thought it was herpes, but I have never done any test on it. That was my first ever experience (Jan. 2015) with sore throat in my life, but I have heard people say they had it too. Hence, further indicating that I possible got a viral infection around that time. A doctor said I should take antibiotics and so and so, I also took "Strepsils" because we both thought it could juat have been a symptom of fever, but I didn't telk him I had unprotected sex.
Months down the line line, I began to exprience extreme tiredness for some days, but I never remembered to observe my eyes because I thought it was just due to fever. I took medicatikn for malaria but it didn't solve it. But I never did test for any viral ailment. Afterwards, months down the line again now in July or weeks before, I saccidentally observed the slight yellowing of my eyes. Then I knew something was happening in my body. So, onn 10th July, I went for tests on various STDs and Hepatits B came out +ve, but Hepatits C was -ve. I haven't done any test for Herpes anyway. I don't want to, and it's not because I am scared to. I just think that it is relatively a less severe infection than Hepatitis. So, it means that my body didn't fight off the infection within the first 6 months, as later tests I did in August (2015) showed a chronic stage of the infection.
All this while, I have never heard of BHT and never took it. But as soon as I was diagnosed with the Hepatitis B, I started researching about drugs to take, because the gastroenterologist who isattending to me has been saying I need further tests to know whether I should start treatment or not. Luckily, a relative suggested BHT, tyat he also heard about it. So, since 18th August o4 so
This BHT [ butylated hydroxytoluene ] stuff really does work. It did for me for hepatitis C. I used a daily dose of only 200mg BHT, with water on an empty stomach and waited about an hour before eating anything. I had been quite ill with all the usual signs of a failing liver: jaundice, dark urine, abdominal pain, etc.. I was tested and retested using the antibodies and antigens tests. Both sets of tests came back positive for hepatitis C and B also. Anyway, I started dosing myself with BHT as I just described: 200mg per day with water on an empty stomach after I was diagnosed with hepatitis C with a failing liver. My liver function tests indicated a failing liver along with those symptoms. An appointment was set up for me with the treating doctor to come up with some treatment regimen. BUT, by the time I showed up for that appointment my condition was so visibly improved the doctor ordered some new liver function tests and a hepatitis C RNA test. This was in 1997 and viral load tests did not exist then. So I came back and was told the Hep-C RNA test came back indeterminate and my liver function tests showed great improvement. A new hep-C RNA test was ordered along with a new batch of liver function tests. All this time I am taking this BHT. I saw him about a week later and was told the hep C RNA test came back NEGATIVE and my liver function tests were within the NORMAL range except one that was very close to normal.
I was WELL in about 3 to 4 weeks and was never prescribed or took anything other than BHT to treat this hepatitis C infection. I still take BHT to this day to prevent infection by the different infections BHT has proven effective as a treatment for along with the life extension properties associated with daily dosing of BHT. ...Oscar
