only rep9 ac from replicor comboed with tenofovir may clear virus fast but that's not available on market
my fren, were in same situation.. till now im confused whom im going to follow....me also need to lower my hbvdna to pass my pre-employment medical examination for abroad but as what steff told us we are considered an immune tolerant phase that dont need treatment and the drugs, it will just start the damage. we also need medication for our respective purpose for our future but we also be smart to choose which is right. maybe we will try food supplements.
PLS STEF IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA ABOUT DRUGS THAT WILL NOT JEOPARDIZE OUR PRESENT HEALTH PLS SHARE IT TO US.......
I think you should tell your GF asap as you can infect her. If you love her, you need to tell her.
This is what I did with my GF, she got tested and found to have strong HBV s antibody. Since then I was much relieved knowing that I won't infect her.
I, like you, found out I had hep b when I went for my health screening after getting accepted into dental school. I was also born with hep b and my viral load is higher than yours.
I understand where you're coming from. You feel like you've worked so hard to get where you are and this is your set job. I felt the same way, and when the school called to tell me that unless I was not in the active phase, they could no longer accept me. It was devastating to hear, but after speaking with my hepatologist he said the same things that stef2011 has indicated. You are in the immune tollerant phase, which is good, you do not want to disrupt this.
Do not jepordize your life just because of this. It's been a year and a half since I found out my condition. I'm still learning to cope with the idea as my life has changed greatly due to this disease. I had to go back to school and have now discovered a new major that I enjoy. There's many different career paths out there and I'm sure you will find something else that you enjoy, although it may not seem like it at the moment.
Best wishes.
do not change your immune tollerant phase because you will have only damage and cronic hepatitis
the virus makes no damage, it is your immune system to make the damage so do not change the way things are now.infected cells are more productive and more resistent to oxidative stress than uninfected, so there is no reason to change this....it is like asking to become sick, you are perfectly healthy now
another point hbvdna has no meaning, when the immune tollerant phase will be broken check hbsag quantity in iu/ml mainly and consder hbvdna just a complementary test.also fibroscan monitoring is essential possibly from now
i understand you, i too was born to a HBV carrier mother and now i have chronic HBV, but unlike you i my viral load is less than 100,000 IU/ ML but still contagious
i dont personally know you and will never see you in the flesh but i intend to be regular poster in this forum to give encouragement and hope to fellow (chronic) HBV carrier out there. i also have a GF that i really love but i dont know how to say for she may leave me if she knows.
re treatment, i have had interferon treatment 2 years ago and was able to bring my hbv viral load to less than 6 ml/iu but i relapsed and now will be going back to the doctor. i guess you best bet is interferon treatment , good luck my fellow HBV carrier friend :)
