Blood test results after 3 months of Tenof Tx

Hi,

I have started treating with Tenofovir 4 months ago. Initially, my viral load was 59000UI/ml, I am Hbe Negative with HbeAB pos. My liver functions have always been normal...I had a blood test exactly 3 months after I started tx. I just got the results and I m a bit confused, there is no number beside HBV DNA results except a note saying "in labs". Usually, there is a number there...? Does it mean it is undetectable?
It seems like they used PCR, there is also a note saying the lowest detectable value is 12UI/ml.

Thanks.

HBV DNA by Real-Time PCR is the standard used commercially. I have come arcoss more precise ones for research. It is good that the medication made it undetectable within 3 months. Lesser chance for the virus to develop resistance to your medication.

What meds are you on?

I finally got my results and it is <12 UI/ml after only 3 months of Tx (was 59000UI/ml 3 months ago). 12 is the lowest limit detectable. There is a note saying that HBV DNA is still detectable.
Is there a better measure, more precise?

You were right! As simple as that, results were incomplete. They are uncompetent.

Contact the lab. It is their _duty_ to provide you unambiguous reports.
