Chlorogenic Acid

Coffee and related compounds. Evidence from several European and Japanese studies suggests coffee consumption is associated with reduced risk of liver cancer in. Heavy coffee consumption (defined in the studies as over 3 cups daily by Europeans, or over 1 cup daily by Japanese) reduced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) risk by an average of 55% over 10 observational studies (Bravi 2007; Larsson 2007). Moderate coffee consumption (4 or more cups weekly) in HBV carriers reduced hepatocellular cancer incidence by almost 60% in a separate study (Leung 2011). Chlorogenic acid, a compound isolated from coffee, was shown to inhibit HBV viral replication in isolated liver cells, and reduce blood levels of HBV in an animal model. Its efficacy was comparable to the nucleoside analog lamivudine (Wang 2009a). Special coffee roasting procedures can retain chlorogenic acid, which is normally depleted by Dian roasting procedures. Chlorogenic acid is also supplied by green coffee extract supplements.

Hepatoprotective and antiviral properties of isochlorogenic acid A from Laggera alata against hepatitis B virus infection.
...
Isochlorogenic acid A significantly improved HL-7702 hepatocyte viability and markedly inhibited the productions of HBsAg and HBeAg. The inhibitory rates of isochlorogenic acid A on the HBsAg and HBeAg expressions were 86.9% and 72.9%, respectively. In addition, isochlorogenic acid A declined markedly the content of hepatitis B virus covalently closed circular DNA (HBV cccDNA) and induced significantly the heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) expression in HepG2.2.15 cells.

CONCLUSIONS:
Isochlorogenic acid A was verified to possess the potent anti-hepatitis B activity. The anti-HBV target of isochlorogenic acid A is probably associated with blocking the translation step of the HBV replication.

without normal d3 levels gcmaf works very little if almost none, without d3 macrophages dont activate and tcells dont activate

both d3 and gcmaf activates vdr and more active vdr is more activated macrophages which in turn boost or suppress immune system according to our needs
we already posted new studies on vit d and it does not suppress anything unless the body needs this.
if you have autoimmune diseases it suppresses if you dont it activates

vdr is blocked by all pathogens and cancer cells by nagalase, vit d and gcmaf counteract this inactivation
the balance between 1.25 and 25 d3 is also regulated but it is not important to discuss it here.pathogens tends to increse 1.25 by nagalase and d3 tends to lower it together with gcmaf

"Vitamin d 3 actually boosts the immune system."
This is not clear, there are different opinions. I tend to believe it suppress the immune system, especially in us with chronic disease:

d3->d25->1,25
According to dr Marshall, d25 suppresses the immune system by inactivating the VDR. It is only the 1,25 form that activates the VDR (= activation of immune system).
http://mpkb.org/home/pathogenesis/vitamind
VDR is downregulated by HIV, tuberculosis and other pathogens because VDR protects the body, so the pathogens found this way to weaken the protection. Taking D3 while already chronically sick (25D low, 1,25D high) actually helps the pathogens and shuts down the immune system. The least before taking it, is to check the 1,25 level. If low, it would make sense to supplement, but I personally would try sun and vit d foods/cofactors.

The d3 sellers say otherwise, of course. Which one is right?...We cannot really know. I would't take high doses of D3, though. High doses of any vit for long periods of time, I would not take again. I was stupid enough to do it and I hurt myself. But most people prefer swallowing a couple of pills, it is much easier then taking the time to try to understand what is going on.

I don't take the extract, I prefer whole foods before supps, so I drink the green coffee. Maybe I will try a hbsag test after a week of intensive chlorogenic acid ingestion to see if there is a big difference in the value and this stuff actually works. The HBsAG test is very cheap in my country, but the value is in S/CO (not IU/ml)...I read on this forum it should only be in IU/ml?...do you know anything about this?

I never used ozonated water, so I don't know. But I know that lowering pathogens is hard and takes a long time and a concerted effort with no guarantees, only drinking ozonated water or taking a couple of supps while doing nothing else won't do much, in my opinion.

Vitamin d 3 actually boosts the immune system.  Seems like green coffee extract actually works like symvastatin. IF this is the case then very good.

What do you think of ozonating the water?. That should increase detox and pathogen kill process.

I think CGA actually inhibits HBsAG replication, milk thistle only helps the liver regenerate.

Another study in favor of CGA:
Chlorogenic Acid Exhibits Cholesterol Lowering and Fatty Liver Attenuating Properties by Up-regulating the Gene Expression of PPAR-α in Hypercholesterolemic Rats Induced with a High-Cholesterol Diet.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22674675

Negative about coffee/CGA: it blocks the VDR (like high dosage Vit D)...which makes one feel better (since Vit D is immunosuppresive), but in the long run it leads to an increase in body's pathogen load, according to dr Marshall (http://marshallprotocol.com/forum39/8252.html).

If you want to try natural methods, this is what I am doing:
coffee enemas with green coffee (I exagerated with this and I think I hurt my colon, now I mostly drink the coffee).
Near infrared sauna
negative ion generator
ionic selenium/zinc/iodine
roy masters meditation
nutritional balancing diet
SCD yoghurt
as a result after 8 months, I got hbsag restested and it is now 4000 (it was 8000). this fluctuates by itself, so it is not really something to get excited about yet. If it continues to get lower and lower it would be really good news.

Natural methods are harder to follow and take more time then conventional therapy. Holistic doctors try to heal the whole body (lower the pathogen load), while conventional drs mostly treat symptoms with drugs.

Just analysing this info seems green coffee is an anti oxidant like milk thistle. And that is why it may help. If we remove the toxins from the liver thus detox the.body perhaps our immune system does a better job at containing the virus.

Immune system is smart as they say and ideally should be able to clear all viruses and cancers.

But what I find interesting is that it seems to be people that take milk thistle and higher doses of vitamins generally report better control of their viral infection then those that dont detox their system.

Conventional western medicine somehow leaves these findings outside the scope if the approved therapy.

And there lies  the problem. Naturapathic physicians disregard totally conventional medicine. Mainstream doctors disregard  what the holistic medicine has to offer.

Very few are looking to merge the two for the benefit of the patient.
