Could we use fasting to our benefit?

Here's a link to a recent study which concludes a three day fasting period can regenerate the entire immune system. I wonder if it could help our tolerant/exhausted Tcells get back in action against HBV. Certainly worth a try. Thoughts guys?

I read the same study a few years ago, so I immediately did it. I fasted for about 3.5 days. I can tell you that it did not cure my chronic HBV.

Aaah. It's disappointing but comes as little surprise since HbsAg would induce rapid tolerance on any white blood cells newly produced. However, the true potential of this approach could only be assessed after levels of HBsAG are driven down to undetectable levels once new medicines that allow this reach the market like replicor. Theoretically, in the absence of HBsAG, any new tcells that are produced would retain their activity and might clear out the virus.
I'm not sure how HBsAg induces tolerance?

From my understanding hepatic macrophages output pd-1 which is the signal that the virus is cleared up (although it's not) which deactivates the immune response. So if that signal inhibitor (which is a pd-1 inhibitor, such as nivolumab, which actually works but is toxic), or if the hepatic macrophages themselves are depleted, then that can result in a cure too. Fasting may reset the immune system but the hepatic macrophages will still be there outputting the pd-1 signal won't they? unless fasting stopped their activity or something. If that were the case then maybe fasting for a week or two would do it. That's actually easier and more feasible than it sounds. Maybe worth looking into actually...

This could be probably easier for us who do not have good appetite anyway:-)

Beware of simple but deadly phenomenon of hypoglycemia while prolonged fasting. I've seen dangerous outcomes of it.

and i ve used 1 to 2 days fasting with just liquids to slow aging...it weaken immune system while you do it and zero effect on hbv.it does slow aging but the main aging factor is loss of subcutaneous fat in the face...so in the end it also ages you in the surface
How did you actually determine that the fasting regimen slowed aging?

I have been trying to contact you via email and messages. if it is ok with you  can you please respond. hope all is well. Thank you
studyforhope i just meant walter longo studies proved that but with all the stuff on research today its a very weak tool to lsow aging.gdf11 in the right very low doses, c60, nad+,mitoq, sqk1 are much more potent to slow aging but this is off topic and nothing to do with hbv
