this is annoying . hbsAg range Negativ < 0.9 , so she encounter anyway hepatitis B ...but now she has antu hbs , we will go for some further testing, just to check her and be sure she is ok
for hbsAg , Negativ : = 1 Index
my girlfriend tested fir HBV today, her test results are :
HbsAg = 0.522 [<0.9
Negativ : = 1 Index]
ANTI HBs = 511.1 UI/L [<10]
we didn't had sex, but she used for few times my tooth brush .
yes, indeed, you are right,i jumped to early to conclusions , the story is this. i found out that i have the virus in june. she had her yearly blood tests done at my request but her doctor told her that she doesnt need for hbsAg to be checked because her ALT and other generally tests came out fine (smart doctor yes, i know) then i got her checked for hbsAg this week which came back negative, i was very relieved because she even shared my tooth brush one or two times before and i was very scared. About the HbsAb, this is what i've been thinking to do next too, i will go with her to check her hbsab and i will update this with the result.
good your girlfriend came out negitive, but your conclusion "in conclusion , even with high hbvdna like mine , 170 mil, is not enough to get infected through saliva ." is NOT Accurate.
please have her check for hbsab, may be she had acute hep. in the past or had a vaccination.
if she has no hbsab, only then we can say transmission through saliva is not probable, but even though it is always better to be careful.
Update: my girlfriend tested today, she has hbsAG negative. in conclusion , even with high hbvdna like mine , 170 mil, is not enough to get infected through saliva .
Cool. It is always better to be safe than sorry
it's ok ..sounded funny indeed, but that's why I asked, because I wanted to be extra careful even by kissing, because even if is a small chance, better be careful than sorry
Steff is that humor I'm detecting? Because it sounds quite funny what you just wrote & it made me giggle. "Not to go around spitting on people with open wounds" lol
Just a question if the viral load is up in the Billions could it be passed via saliva ie kissing or sharing a bottle of water?
Melcul please don't think I'm laughing at you because I'm not my friend!
no why test?
if you dont go around looking for people with open wounds to spit....there is no reason to even think about it
is it a test you should do for this ? saliva/sperm . as I am high hbvdna and hbsag quant.
no it is not possible too difficult and rare, also hbvdna needs to be detectable for hbv to be detectable in sperm and saliva and prbably in the billions to be infected
