Do I need treatment?

I am a cronic Hep B inactive carrier. DO I need treatment? If yes, what is your suggestion? The following is my blood test.

ALT: 18 u/L

Alkaline Phosphatase: 66 u/L

Hbs Ag:   Positive, 210.46

Anti-Hbs: Negative, 2.4mUL/mL

Hbe Ag:   Negative

Anti-Hbe:  Positive, 0.1 mUI/mL

Anti-HBc IgG: 11.90 g/L
              IgA:  4.24 g/L
              IgM: 0.44 g/L

Hep B Virus  DNA: 59000 IU/mL

thanks for your reply...i don't think i can buy that interferon if that's the prize...i'm from the Philippines...i don't have enough money to sustain the interferon for my hepa B...thanks again..the only thing i can do now is just pray....

Can I start the treatment even if my liver function is normal (ALT: 18)?

interferon is high cost, you buy at pharmacy i guess it depends on the countries.the cheapest is generic interferon in vietnam, the brand is very ery expensive like 10000usd per year but i don t know exact price because in my country it is free from healthcare

nitazoxanide has generic versions in india so price is not high, check if it is available in ur country otherwise buy from india

you are about seroconverting but hbsab is too low Anti-Hbs: Negative, 2.4mUL/mL, i 'd try nizonide500 2g daily minimum, see our posts about alinia (nitazoxanide).after taking ntz you have to check with the following tests:

hbsag but with abbott architect in iu/ml, any value loer than 1000iu/ml is very good
hbsab again
hbvdna again

vaccine might also help increase hbsab antibody

if you have it cronic from long time i'd try also ntz+interferon but if you just had acute hbv it is just a matter of time that yo will clear
