finally I manage to test my hbsag. After combing from lab to lab, this are my results.
hbsag value  473.48 in/ml
sickling genotype  (HB Ele)  AA
hbeag - negative
hbeab- positive

I am a chronic inactive. so what should I do to clear hbsag.
I have never taken any medication for hbv.
I am 36years as at now.

first of all you need hbsag quantitative in iu/ml by abbott architect or roches elecsys, both not available in dubai or at least no member found a lab to test it there.without this test any cure, prediction and so on is impossible

then you need hbv genotype

with these 2 tests you can predict cure by peginterferon and monitor if it works.peg is very expensive so you better have medical insurance or coverage

my latest result are as follow:-
HBS-ag is 3905.36../normal range is 1.0S/CO: Non Reactive..
HBV/DNA is 282 with reference range IU/ml
Ultra sound is normal with diffuse fatty liver
SGOT-18.7
SGPT- 22.4
Vit D is now back to normal
Fibroscan is normal
please help me understand this condition as doctors always say no need for medication and says to wait and just monitor every 6 months..I am a 53 yo asian female and want to retire, meaning i will lose my medical and have to shoulder even the simple medical test in the future. Your help and feed back will be much appreciated...

They do not want to treat you because if dna < 2000 iu/ml the treatment is not prescribed by the doctors guidelines.
But according to latest research if your hbsAg is less then 1000 iu/ml you have a good chance to clear hbv by interferon.
So you need to know hbsag quantity to decide.

hi Romeo, i just want to double check, my doctor dont want to treat me because my DNA/PCR is very low..284.,is it okay for me to asks him to give me medication like interferon? is there a chance that i maybe cleared of this HBV infection? many thanks

Injection. 1 per week. With such low hbsag you have high cnagce of clearance like so many members in this forum. Asian male, April, Cyrus and the list goes on. Go for it!!!!!
