You will gain the weight back as soon as you completed the treatment. Good luck and all the best.
I am now under interferon, also lost around 10kg during the treatment and wanted to check with you what to expect after interferon stopped.
I have added weight but trying to control it. I lost about 10kg during the treatment which lasted for 15 months but quickly gained the Weight back and added additional 5kg. Do you have weight issue after interferon treatment? @ErichH I will explore the option of vaccine and will discuss it with the consultant.
Do you gain weight after stopping interferon?
Since your antibody titre have not increased yet, have you tried then vaccine?
I got one year post intf test today and still maintained negative surface antigen and hbdna. All other liver panel indicators are good except that the antibody titre is still less than 10iu.
Good luck guys.
vitamin d is a must both now and in the case of boosting by hbv vaccine, antibodies titers to vaccines are higher in those getting vit d supplementation, although response or no response does not change
you re still in the fight then, keep healthy lifestyle and good rest

I agree that high ALT is a big factor and the reason behind the choice interferon.
I got a confirmatory result today which confirmed surface and e antigen negative. Alt is 40 and antibody less 10iu/ml. Will test I'm few months and decide if a boast is required to increase the titre.
Vit D3 should be taken regardless of HBV infection or not. It might be impacted as the stronger the immune system pre-IFN, the better chances IFN will work with your stronger immune and knocked HBV down.
Your ALT level definitely give it a kicked Mrt. Mine was a high of 225. Last checked, still at 124.
thanks hbv is such that u take so many things without fingering which make an impact.
I did take vitamin D for a limited time.

Good luck to all of you guys and I hope that you ll tell your stories soon. I plan to document my treatment experience and possibly publish it soon. I will also post my anti body titre level next week when the result becomes ready.
