Got my liver biopsy

For those who have not gotten a liver biopsy or has forgone it due to fear, cost or whatever the reason after your hep b diagnosis, here is a FYI.

My precedure yesterday, they put a iv needle in my hand, to draw some blood, then put the bag of liquid.  Guessing so I don't dehydrated or its just surgical pressure. They gave me two pills of Benadryl and two pills of Valium, to relax me.

Hour later, into the ultrasound room.  Ultrasound my body for the liver location between the chest and stomach.  Unlike YouTube, the radiologist did not go through the right side of my body but got my liver biopsy sample from top of my abdominal and just under my breast bone. Local numbing shot then made a tiny cut to put the building tube, felt a sharp pressure pain, then biopsy needle through the tube 3 times. Belt like somebody punched me in my gut, but pain only lasted three seconds each time.  Then it was over.  The hospital nurses, radiologists were great!!' Overall pain was like 3 out of 10.  Nothing like the YouTube videos. I do have a little cut in the middle of my body.

Fibroscan is good, but to get a complete look into your liver and what hbv is doing or not doing liver biopsy is the best.  My doctor, my hepatologist, and the radiologist all told me.  Don't fear the liver biopsy!
