HBV chronic since 2009 is getting worse I think

Someone can say my stupid after reading this question but I am the responsible for this all situation. Steff please comment on it.

My age is 34 years. I was diagnosed HBV carrier in sep-2009 when I went for a job. I started testing it. I am not as active and don’t know much but my HBV DNA was in billions but LFT were normal even in ultrasound. My doctor asked me for biopsy I got scared and changed my doctor.
The new doctor after physical examination told me your live is fine and put me on Pegassy injection which was weekly I think from Sep-2010. In January, virus load went down but not too much still was in million. He put me on Tenofo-B and after taking Tenofo-B in six months my DNA was undetectable. I continued for three years and than I come to Canada with my family in 2015. He asked me take one year medicine with you.

I continued with medicine for one year here.
(I couldn’t go for any blood test in Canada without Doctor prescription and I was not entitled for health services till last week)

After one year in December-16 I stopped taking medicine but here on this forum someone suggested me don’t stop taking without doctor. I asked my brother who sent me the medicine same pill. I started taking again after 3 months gap. (During that time I did my ALT and SGT in emergency of hospital that was normal)
I started again without any test till October-2017.

After oct-2017 Now last week on Feb-11, I got insurance and entitle for everything went to doctor and asked her for all test.
HepB reactive and ALT is double than normal and same SGPT near the same like double.
He referred me to the specialist and asked me for ultrasound which is schedule on 21st of Feb.

He said you will get a call from Specialist in one month. He didn’t ask me for any other test except ultrasound. May be the specialist will ask me for further test.

I know this is all my fault deal with it not seriously. If I die with it I will not blame to anyone.
After God, this forum is very important for me these days and the most important steff comment worth a lot. I pray for everyone who is in this disease get rid as soon as possible.
Thanks for reading my story.

Hi Gill - Chronic Hepatitis B doesn't mean you will die from it. 20-40% people may develop serious complications but that's during the late phases of their lives. However that means that, 80-60% of CHB patients will live normal lives. You just have to be more careful and take care of your liver. Make sure not to skip the medicines if you have already started taking antivirals. Based on your comments above, it's hard to tell for sure but given that your ALT/AST is twice the upper normal and that you are relatively young, you are probably in immune clearance (Active).

Get the following tests done asap to make sure there isn't ongoing damage to your liver and also to clearly define the phase of CHB you are in.

ALT
AST
HBeAG and HBeAB
HBsAG Quantitative
HBV DNA Viral Load
An ultrasound of liver to check for any abnormalities
Fibroscan (if available) to set a baseline.

Goodluck. Post results here when you have these tests done so people can comment accurately but trust your hepatologist on any medicine/care advise.
