The Stress of waiting on Ultra Sound Results

As a chronic hep b carrier from birth I absolutely hate waiting on Ultra sound results and blood test results every 6 months. My fellow chronic hbvers, is there anything that makes it easier while waiting for the results? Twice a year I wonder what my results are and STRESS over them. I always tell my self that we shall all pass one day, but I have a higher probability of passing from HCC. It ***** to know that every year we / I must go through this 2x's . It is hard knowing that at any time the big H might just decide to invade my life.

Next time you do test you can ask the technician/doctor that scans you about the result. If he is a doctor he can tell you results straight away, if he is technician he is not authorised to give the results but if you ask him nicely to tell you whether there is anything unusual on the liver he is most likely to tell you or give you a clear hint that things are indeed all right.

We are all in the same boat...even though these tests are not easy...they have a very good side in them - they show us the reality of our life and death  -> giving us an opportunity for the remembrance and closeness of/to God.

At what age ur relatives passed away because of HCC? I want to take an example who has lived more years out of them. Average life expectancy of human being is from 60 to 70 years. If any of your relatives have passed away because of HCC in between this age, I wouldn't call HBV as an disease about which you need to worry much about.Happy new year.

Hep B has been in my family for GOD knows how long. My grandmother, my mother, my uncles, my grandmothers brothers and sisters and some of their children are all HEP B carriers. I talk to my moms cousin on my grandmother side and they are also carriers. Hep B is not new to my family and I have had many relatives pass because of Hep B. I feel mainly its just the waiting time in between for the results that stresses me out. If masses on the liver are found so be it, it wouldn't be the first time in my family and it is pretty much known that it will happen in our family to some of us. It is like a family that has a history of heart attacks , we still worry about the actual issue. I do trust in GOD and death is not the cause of stress , it is the time in between waiting on results that stress me out. I guess you can say today I have a set schedule and life that I do each and everyday and if HCC or some issue is found, my life schedule would change. I can say maybe the routine of life changing causes stress. ahhh who knows I wonder do others have the same stress?

I don't understand why will you get stress? Every one will not have HCC, probability is very very less. Its like diabetics patient is always scared of heart attack :) Chill out man. Everything is in hands of God. Trust him and never worry about anything.

I don't know the answer, just strange that you can't
to come to terms with the circumstances.
