Hep B Surface Ag - Presumptive positive?

I just get lab results here:

Hep A Ab, Total - Negative
Hep B Surface Ag - Presumptive positive
HBsAg Confirmation - Negative
Hep B Core Ab, Tot - Negative
Hep B Surface Ab - 33.7H mIU/mL - Consistent with Immunity

Hep C Virus Ab - Non-Reactive
HIV-1 Abs, Qual - Non Reactive

Does the result mean that I am infected with Hepatitis B? or Can I get infected with Hepatitis B?
Is there any possibility that my Hep B Surface Ag will be negative? How much is the probability?
If I am married and have children, will my wife and children be infected also?

Thanks,

Mike

well the good news is no evidence you've ever been exposed to HepA, hepC or HIV virus. Also, it looks like you had two tests for the HBV surface antigen and the second came back negative. Your profile is that of someone successfully vaccinated against HBV (<a href="http://www.dpcweb.com/medical/infectiousdisease/hepatitus_b_us.html">see</a>). If you have any doubts you should obviously pursue this with a Dr. and test further, but from what you wrote there doesn't seem to be anything to worry about.
