Hep B Test

Hi, A little over a year back (July 2012) , I had protected vaginal sex and received unprotected oral sex. I have carried out tests for HIV and other STIs.

Just a week back I also carried out tests for HBsAg screening with serum, CMIA. The result being Non Reactive (0). I would like to know whether I need to carry out tests for HBeAg.

Thanks for your time,

Ram

Thanks for that..... Also just a small followup, just out of curiosity what is the HBeAg.... Also the test for HBsAg was taken after a year, more like an afterthought .... do you think that the HBS antigen could remain hidden in the liver or something??

The reason I ask this is because, in another four months, I have to do all HIV, Hep B and Hep C as a part of my employment process.

Thanks for the help and sorry if this question has been asked before :)
