I added "Acute vs. Chronic" infection on the Health page.

Zelly, please look it over and edit as needed.

Anything else to add?

I do not quite understand what you mean. What exactly were these tests called? and what were the units mentioned in the report. These things are important, though they might not convey much meaning to laypeople.

http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Hepatitis/HepB-Introduction--Welcome-Page/show/34?cid=153 will give you some nice background info.

One advice about the forum: please start one new thread for just yourself, and we can discuss things in that thread. That way, it will be easier for all of us, including yourself, to keep track of comments about your health.

It looks great! Here are some possible changes:

If you don’t clear the virus, meaning you remain surface antigen positive for over 6 months, then it usually means you have a chronic HepB infection.  Chronic HepB tends to be asymptomatic but this does not indicate that there is no viral activity.  Terms such as "healthy carrier" or "inactive carrier" are misleading as there is no such thing as inactive chronic HepB.  Even at undetectable viral levels there does remain low level activity which is why it is important to continue to monitor your condition even though you are feeling well.

There is currently no cure.  Spontaneous clearance of a chronic infection is possible but the odds are very low  at about 1% per year.

Anyone interested in writing for our Health page should be aware that all content so far comes from the authors (us).  It's not copied from another site.  So please be aware of this if you were to contribute to the health page.  It should be from scratch.

How about a small piece about the vaccine?  Anyone want to write that up for the Health page?
