Hepatitis B - Normal Screening Test Vs PCR DNA Test

Hi,

I had below two tests
  1. Normal Screening test that results with Hepatitis B Positive
  2. PCR - DNA Tests results with count of 40iu/ml.As per medical report,it stats that Hepatitis B Negative - HBV DNA not detected

I am confused of these two different results.Could you please clarify me which one of the above is to be considered?

yes as discussed by my friends above your actually infected with the hepatitis B. You need to monitor your situation six monthly or yearly based onThe recommendations by your doctor.

Means you have the virus, but very low quantity. You do not need treatment, but should get tested yearly or when you see hep-B symptoms.

It is good that you have the virus undetectable level, and hope it stays that way (and eventually hope to become HBsAg negative).
