Hi everone,

I have been in a confusion since a while. Can anyone with seroconversion in hepatits b go for unprotected sex!!

Like, i read a lot reserched on HIV saying that low viral load patient are ready to go for childerns and all. So, can anyone with undetectable viral loads go for childrens? When doctors are saying, you have nothing and no need for any medication..

Patients with Hepatitis B can have unprotected sex and children PROVIDED their partners are immunized (3-dose vaccination) and then proven to have immunity against HBV(titre of HBsAb great 10 iu/l). All babies should have HBIG and 1st dose of HBV vaccine within  24 hours of birth.
You don't have to wait for HBsAg clearance to have unprotected sex with an immunized partner.
