I completed my Hepatitis B vaccine in 2006, but last week the blood test shows I am a Hepatitis B carrier.

what's going on?

My mom and my brother have Hepatitis B.
I just lost my virginity to a guy who had a lot sex partners.

i'm confused.  Did i get this from my mom since i was born?
or did i get this from the guy i had sex with?

yep yep. that's why i said it's not on the standard tests, although some companies do screen for this nowadays. which makes it harder for HBVers ...

if your mom has it and your brother also has it then it means you got it from your mom, so the problem is that the man you had s3x with may have been infected by you... but that's another story because you didnt know it...

the vaccine wont work anymore because you already have it.

the reason that you had 3 physical exams and never got rejected is because they werent testing for HBV

i suggest to just deal with the problem with a positive attitude. eat right, live right but never obsess (look who's talking ha ha). it's hard but many people actually live normal long lives even w/ being reactive.

i was hoping i wasn't infected till recently i found out i was. the reason many people don't know their status is it isn't a standard test here, i've done full physicals for 3 different companies & not once have i gotten rejected because i was reactive.

it was only when i had it really tested that i found out. it isn't the end. most people are just not very educated about our predicaments. it's their fault not ours hahaha ... just tryng to lighten the mood.

yea, i was thinking about that too.
I had a lot blood tests before i met that guy, none of the doctor told me i have hep B, and i didn't ask as well.  I took the vaccine without testing.  

That guy and I had oral sex without protection and had intercourse with protection.

I am very confused where I get this from.  You are right, maybe I got it from my mom, maybe i might have infected him.

This hep B kinda bothers me.  I have lower self-esteem now.  sigh.  I feel like i'm someone carrying some sort of disease that no one will like to be with me for the rest of my life.

chances are you did get it from your mom. just my hunch, since your brother also has it.

vertical transmission rate is very high. you probably didn't check before you took the vaccine ... or did you?

many people have this without knowing. me included, who knows you might have infected the guy instead of the other way around.
