Need advice

Hello,
Im a 54 year old guy, and approx 8 weeks ago I  attended a medical for a job - 4 days later a recieved a call from the Doctor stating that I had proven positive for Hep B. My reaction was total Shock. I was advised to see a Liver Specialist immediately to recieve treatment. The results of the first blood test were - HBc AB positive and HBeAg positive.
Once again I gave a blood test and have just been back to see the Specialist and have been informed my viral load is very low - could it be 15/1000  altough one of my liver enzymes is slightly high.He advised against any treatment.
I have to go back in 6 months for another blood test to monitor. What does this mean - any help would be most welcome.

Also on thinking about it, I could have had the virus for a number of years without knowing I had it.It was the medical that highlighted the Hep B, but how long had it been active prior to the medical. On numerous ocassions I have been tested for HIV/blood counts   but not specifically for Hep B.

you have to wait at least 6 months to see if your infection is cronic, drugs dont eradicate virus but just stop liver damage so only if there is liver damage drugs are useful
