One more question.

I know many of you were annoyed by my silly questions but I have to ask one more. I can't let myself down since I have a family. How long can the Hepatitis B virus be detected in one's body? Should the person take the blood test right away?

I also ate a dinner at my friend's house who has Hepatitis B. We didn't share any utensils at all. Would I get Hepatitis B because of that? Since the utensils after all are from his house.

Good point by Zelly,  "paulhsalt" should indicate if the room is bigger than 10' X 10'.

But I'm pretty sure he got Hep B just from being in that room.  In fact, I think you can get it just by thinking about it.

"#4 sounds attractive "

Absolutely...this is by no means a negative thing.  Imagine this scenerio,

My friends and I (all with HepB) are having a great time a party, eating, joking around, talking about labs, eAntigen, eAntibody, Entecavir, Adefovir, DNA, seroconversions, and just having a great time.  And there sitting in the corner by himself is our non-HepB friend, feeling totally left out.  He leaves early, alone, and tomorrow's Monday with work waiting.  We all start to feel real bad.  How do we prevent this during the next party?, because afterall we love our non-HepB friend.  Similarly, that is why #4 is there.

Actually I think you have 5 potential possibilities.

1) You have too much time on your hands.
2) You have some OCD.
3) You have an anxiety disorder.
4) You have too many HepB friends who are trying to infect you.
5) All of the Above.

Your worry can only be calmed by a liver panel test.

--very very low possibility.

Thank you for answering. I hope I was over worried about this issue. Can saliva transmit HepB if you have a cut?

ok i've had it ... i am done with you Paul ..hahaha j/k

Paul bro it takes SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH to transmit HBV. on the contrare of what you think or many people think , this isnt a common germ that if someone sneezes in your face then you might get it.. it does actually take so much for it to get transmitted.. if you havnet had sex with a person.. if you have had blood transfusion , then chances are VERY minimal..how else can we explain it to you i dont understand

to answer yoyr question, you can get tested two weeks after "thinking" you were exposed to the virus.. if yo test negative then man go enjoy your life enjoy your family and dont make them stressed out.. this isnt just stressing you it is actually driving everyone around you nuts and i fear if you have kids then you're just not helping them right now..

go get tested and if they tell you you're nagative - which is the one scenario evertyone that read your posts here told you - then let it go.. live a happy healthy life and thats it

hope all turns out well for you and your family
