Question about my inactive Hep B status...

I'm inactive Hep B Carrier. I've been this way since 2007.
My doctor recently told me I'm still inactive but my liver enzymes were elevated a little. He said, that it shouldn't be any concern for now. Do you feel taking Milk Thistle will help my liver in any way. Also, keep my mind my weight is 230lbs and height 5'10. I know I need to lose weight which may help my condition and reduce stress on my liver. I'd like some feedback from anyone regarding my question about milk thistle and overweight.

Also, I heard something recently online about a possible cure for Hep B in labs testing its effectiveness. If this is incorrect please excuse the statement.

being overweight lowers clearance percentages on any drug and increases interferon sides effect so it is better to concentrate on losing weight first

a new type of interferon with specific activity on liver, mild sides and increased cearance rates should be available soon, interferon lambda, better wait for it

be aware that many doctors not updated dont check carefully and say you are inactive even if you are not, better double check as follows:
unless you check alt every 3 months and continuatively lower than 30 men, 19 woman, you are not inactive

hbsag quantity in in/ml lower than 500iu/ml or at least less than 1500iu/ml

hbvdna quantity, less than 2000iu/ml

fibroscan less than 6kpa

Do you feel taking Milk Thistle will help my liver in any way.
yes it does.check hepatitistechnologies products.they have done trials and even cirrhosis can be regressed by their products which are made of high quality vitamins/antioxidants

Also, keep my mind my weight is 230lbs and height 5'10
liver cannot be healthy if overweight, alt/ast are abnormal in overweight, fatty liver is often present and fatty liver can make damage same as active hbv
bmi between 20-23 is the best range for a healthy liver, bmi 25 is borderline already.i had fatty liver at bmi 25 so i lowered to 20, both fatty liver and fibrosis resolved by 4 months after i have lost weight.check my post: update on my fatty liver

check the posts in the forum, there is very little with clearing activity on hbv:
replicor rep9ac
maybe gcmaf, we are trying it
interferon+tenofovir+alinia or interferon+entecavir+alinia, eradication on more than 30% in 2 years.the eradication at 30% is much less than reality because this has been checled with combo with lamivudine which is very very weak drug on hbv and out of guidelines now, the potent tenofovir or entecavir has not been reported yet but the rate will be higher for sure.alinia has not been checked in combo too but since it has very high boosting activity on interferon it will increase clearance rate too
