Raised HbsAg levels than previous result.

What can be reason of raised HbsAg levels in a person who has undetectable HBV DNA level since 1 year.
My friend is on tenofovir from last 2 years.last year he has hbsAg levels around 4200 and now tested again exactly after one year and it is raised to 5762.we were expecting a lower value than previous result.what can be the reason :(
Plz comment.
all tests rft,lft vit d,pth and calcium are in normal ranges. Dna became undetectable after 6 months of tenofovir medication, then why hbsAg is raised?
age 24 other wise healthy.
Is there something serious underlaying cause? plz Answer to lessen our anxiety :(

In my opinion the change in hbsag quantity that you r refering to is part of the highly dynamic nature of the chronic hepB disease. Such minor fluctuations in hbsag are just normal in this setting, so there is nothing to worry about. Also remember that the antivirals like tenofovir almost do not have any effect in lowering hbsag, they are just used to keep the hbv viral replication down and the hbv dna to undetectable levels so that damage to the liver and risks of hcc are reduced somewhat.
