Recent lab test Hepatitis Be Antigen and Be Antibody

I have been taking EPIVIR HB 100mg because I have been diagnostic with Hepatitis B. Recently I had blood test for Hepatitis Be Antigen and Hepatitis Be Antibody. My results indicate the following Hepatitis Be Antigen nonreactive and Hepatitis Be Antibody reactive. What can I make of these results? Thanks

you can use entecavir or any other antiviral after using lamivudine you have only tenofovir left that works, entecavir will create a monster mutant virus with other 4-8 or more mutations

Actually I read on Entecavir as being the more efficacious than previous agents used to treat hepatitis B (lamivudine and adefovir).

I have my next appointment on Oct. 26. Should I wait for my biopsy results and my appointment so I can ask my physician to consider changing my medication? Or should I try to get an earlier appointment? I did some research on Tenofovir which confirms your post on being the correct medication for the treatment of Hepatitis B. Thanks again!

I am somewhat confused now. My doctor told me I had chronic  hepatitis B, Just recently I got a liver biopsy and waiting for results. Can you give me more info on tenofovir, entecavir and interferon. I have several lab results. Perhaps I can provide you with the results so you can get a better picture on my condition. Which ones would you be interested in seeing? Thanks again

nothing hbeag has no meaning in terms of infection clearance.

who is the crazy docotor who prescribed lamivudine/epivir, add tenofovir as soon as possible, lamivudine don t cure hbv and makes hbv mutations which can be untreatable and can make liver cancer even if hbvdna undetactable

do add tenofovir as soon as possible, you have just worsen your condition with lam, it is not indicated for hbv anymore, only tenofovir (viread) entecavir (baraclude) interferon are

to know if you are clearing you need hbsag quantitative in iu/ml and to know if you are safe from mutations you need hbvdna pcr to be undetactable by 6 months you started treatment (for lam you need und by 12 weeks to be safe)
