Fibroscan result

Just did my fibroscan and the median 5.5 kpa.

However it took only 2 minutes to complete the test and all measurement were taking from the same point. Is this normal? Last time i did it i remember the probe was moved to different locations to take measurements

you have a good liver like most population but a very good organic diet and optimal ranges of vit d25oh 60-100ng/ml may lower fibroscan to around 4kpa, 5.5kpa is still good but it could be lower.does US found any fatty liver?even very very mild (it is best to ask operator because very very mild fatty image may be not reported)

stephen pointed me to manufacturer instructions which say to keep same point.my experience with researchers in pisa is: the keep the probe at same place for multiple shots, not sure if 10 shots and move 3 times.i remember they checked the ribs space before moving probe.maybe to find exact point where to move
in any case better follow manufacturer instructions, it is a long time ago i had cirrhosis and very frequent fibroscan check ups so i may be wrong in the way i remember things.it could be they just repeated 2 fibroscan readings in different locations to reach better success rate to 100%.when stiffness was 16.2kpa, high, success rate was reported 90% sometimes
Thanks Stef for the info. What do you read from the whole report?

Here is my report:

Findings: Patient had median Shear Wave Speed of
1.36meters/sec (m/s). The median Liver Stiffness Score was
5.5kilopascal (kPa), ranging from a low of 5.3kPa to a high of
6.0kPa. The Interquartile Range to Median ratio for all
measurements was 4%.

The median Controlled Attenuation Parameter reading was 207db/m

Interpretation: Taking into account the patient’s history and
recent blood/plasma tests, this Liver Stiffness Score for this
patient with a liver diagnosis of chronic hepatitis B is
consistent with

? Probable mild hepatic fibrosis (F0 - F2)

The hepatic steatosis score using the CAP software is consistent
with

- Probable mild hepatic steatosis (< 33%)
