Sofosbuvir for HBV?

Anyone know if Sofosbuvir has been evaluated for any effectiveness against HBV?

If not is there a reason why it wouldn't work?

Big Pharma position is understandable. What I have problems with is the doctors. How can the go along with this. Because ultimately the evil doer is him the doctor. Based on his decision person lost a life or got even more sick.

It is like the Alinia drug that treats giardia. But also blocks hbv. They discovered that nucs work on hbv by accident to observing HIV patients. Hiv is an RNA virus like HCV. So it is worth a try.

But we just don't know what chemical reaction something will have  on our bodies until its tried.

We can have a good guess/estimation. Until its actually tried

But that said it can be tried. What if it lowers surface antigen too. And then our immune system can take over.

Hcv is so different from hbv, nothing to share.hcv is similar to westnile virus, it is also very easy to clear because it does not integrate in human dna like hbv

hbv is a particular type of retrovirus
