I consulted the doctor at ILBS today.

Here is the info/support i got from doctor,

This info is available on the net, But it may be helpful who's searching first time about HBV , who are in early 30's or late 20s, and got depressed like me till i met the doctor.

In Doctor words,

No need to get scared/tensed/stressed because of HBV.

Medicines are there to lower the HBV DNA virus load in the blood and its successfully working worldwide.

For lowering HBSAG , medicines are there , But not 100% gurantee as of now. In the near future it may come as lots of research is going on these in advanced countries.

In my experience seen around 50% of patients get rid of hbsag as well ( I forgot to ask total patients he dealt till now).

HBV manageable treatment is there.

But should be cautioned about liver.

Six months once follow ups are mandatory.

Should be avoided alcohol  totally.

Must have exercise  daily atleast upto 30 min to 1 hour.

Don't put lot of stress on liver by taking lot of junk food.

Proper sleep should be there.

Maintain a healthy life /food.

All family members tested/vaccinated.

Who's following all these , they recovered lot. and also seen patients  who's health absolutely normal at the age of 60 who effected even from childhood.

For me doctor prescribed
TDF 300mg every day one for 6 months.
Pegylated Interferon Alpha 2B(80 mg) once in a week for 24 weeks .

consult again after 6 months with same set of above test results.

And every month  bilirubin, CBC tests should be done and reports send him through mail.

@steff

Can you guide me Interferon works at this HBSAG levels?
or should i consider Interferon once hbsag comes down to 1000?

Doctor didn't mention anything related to D vitamins and also i forgot to ask also.

Should i take 5000 IU D vitamin every day?

and also heard about TAF which is better than TDF. Should i wait till TAF comes to market?

Hi kri.. what all tests have you undergone..can you name them and how much would they cost. I m suffering with hepatitis b since 2007 and never bothered but these days suffering with pain in my **** while pissing. And the urine is in dark yellow color. If you can list out the tests you are undergoing... I ll get all the tests done. Or do you advise me to consult a physician ?
i got it done all above tests, I suggest consult with a doctor
which doctor have u visited? can u mention his name  please ?  i am leaving outside the country .. so i will directly visit to that doctor

i just saw your other tests, hbvdna is very low but recheck it to be sure it is still low

i d wait for vitd25oh to get to 100ng/ml and intact pth to go lowest of normal and then think about peginterferon or tdf treatment.vit d needs about 6 months of stable levels at max normal range to have an impact on immune system

your vitd25oh is not optimal, use tsts with ng/ml or ask lab for results in ng/ml unit, you need to reach 90-100ng/ml

With in 1 month, hbsag quantative  almost trippled. What this indicates? What are my next steps?

this has very little meaning, in one month there is yet no chance on vit d levels it takes 6months of stable vitd25oh at 90-100ng/ml and at the same time intact pth lowest of normal
keep taking vit d3 at 10.000iu daily and retest vitd25oh and intact pth by 2-3 months from now

what is your hbvdna now?are you thinking of peginterferon treatment or tenofovir?

@stef2011,

Today my reports came for vitd 25oh and hbsag quantitative

HBSAG Quantative @CMIA :  2979.25 IU/ml
Vitamin D 25 Hydrox Serum
147 nmol/L

With in 1 month, hbsag quantitive  almost tripled.

What this indicates? What are my next steps?

Is HBV increasing so fast is common, or im totally in very bad situation?
