Viread and elevated liver enzymes

I have just been diagnosed with hep b recently.  They started me on viread. Well, my hep b viral is slowly going down but my liver enzymes is slowly going up.  My Dr is really concern and constantly doing blood work on me.  I'm about to get a kidney and hiv panel.  I've been researching online and it says viread can increase liver enzymes and eventually people have to switch to a new med. my question :  what other meds out there like viread and can  viread increaSe my liver enzymes.

Thank you!!!
My gastro seems a lil clueless that's why I'm asking

thats a good sign, it means you are clearing infected cells.they ll get to normal when hbvdna is undetectable and if not it is good because you will be probably able to lower hbsag as well

hi stef same is happening with me i am 24 yrs old and my hbvdna was 170000000 and hbeag positive too . i am on tenofovir from 3 months my alt increased to 63....but hbv dna falled to 200000 in 50 days only
i switched between viread and truvada a few times due to elevated triple digits ALT,  my GI dr was very concern as well, sent me to those tests such as liver ultrasound, liver biopsy, HBV DNA, kidney, cholesterol, and  all within normal range.  i am the lucky 1% to 2% hbv patient sero-converted yearly after nearly a decade on viread.
liver enzyme is produced from liver cell dying due to liver inflammation, one good way to look it is, if hbv dna is low, very high chance the hbv virus is dying within the liver cell.

my alt was in 80s during seroconversion, hbv dna undetected, hbsag -, hbsab+, and 6 months later alt was 45, and after 12 months alt was 21.
cool bro congrats for winning the war with virus ..
