47nmol/l=18ng/ml very deficient
sorte I have received my 25 Hydroxy Vit D results and the units were not in ng/mL.
Results indicate 47 nmol/L
Deficient: 75 nmol/L
Still need to figure out what it means exactly but seems that I am deficient.
should get PTH results back next week sometime.
Check if it was ng/ml for sure. Some labs use different units.
I am pretty sure it was 47 ng/ml but will know for sure on tuesday. But looks like I need to check pth to be sure :) I will ask the Doctor at my appointment on Tuesday if the Doctor is back. So to my understanding from what I have read hear is that if the pth is low then my D3 level is not to bad, correct?
base level I mean before starting supplementation
healthy origins 10.000iu pills
Thank you for replying sorte and stef2011.
Sorte I am not sure what you mean by baseline. I wont have a copy of the results until tuesday but I know the low end of the normal threshold on the test was 50 and I had a 47, cant remember the units. Thank you for the link about sleep I am looking at it now. Thank you.
Stef2011, I am happy your back pain is getting better. I am living in Canada and used to live in south China so I am starting to think that my body has not been working as good since we moved here. I am going to look into what creatinine, pth and vitd25oh is because It seems important. Thank you
Im currently taking D3 in liquid form made in Canada by a company called Tropic. What form are you two taking? Liquid, capsule, injection?
everything improving, vit d3 makes all the body work not only immune system
i had stop for few weeks and cut vit d3 to 5000iu for a short period, yesterday i had to resume at least 10.000iu due to severe back pain, improving already at 2nd day of 10.000iu
next week i will know how creatinine, pth and vitd25oh moved
Maybe it's just improving your sleep quality because you might be deficient:
More your were deficient the better you feel when you complement. It applies for every supplement. Do you know what was your base level ?
I started taking 4000 iu daily for 3 days now. I am noticing I have alot of energy when I am awake but also am sleeping alot. Last night 16 hours. Could this be from the Vit D3 making my immune system work better?
Mine is Advanced D 5000iu from purity products & supports energy & immunity.
A brand of water with the lowest calcium level I found is 17,4mg/l not bad but could be better.
i explained already, take calcium out of blood and organs where it is needed, bones
we are almost all vit k 2 deficient (processed foods full of chemicals main reason and unbalanced gut bacteria)
if you have natto available in organi shops you may try it, much more vit k2 than pills
Ok, could you also explain me why take K2 in the context of Vit D3 and PTH ? What causes lowering/increasing what and why we want it ? I know that finall efect should be low PTH and high vit d 25oh.
natural vit k 2 (which is mk4 and mk7) has no toxicicty so take as much as you want.
i take mk7 200mcg (now finished the bottle) and mk4 45mg.mk7 is better because longer blood halflife, mk4 is better only for hcc prevention on cirrhotic or severe fibrosis
When you take k2 mk7 200mcg it's just loading dose and after 10 days you go down with k2 or stop it ? And start vit D3 5000IU ?
I'm pretty sure my PTH was down because of calcium, I was eating diaries every day.
Does boiling it removes some calcium ?
i dont know, you should gather the vapor and return it into water
high altitude springs have the purest water, tap water is not good to drink because you have all metals from the tubes in it plus fluoride or other chemicals
in italy we have many brands with low calcium they are good for the kidneys in general, sant'anna is 2mg/L but there are so many brands here, i guess most countries have some brnads like these
it's hard to get water with low calcium. Tap water in my city has 40-100mg/l
Does boiling it removes some calcium ? I drink a lot of coffe and tea.
"then retest vitd25oh, calcium and pth in a month"
calcium you mean total calcium in the blood ? I'm asking because there is a few tests related to calcium
sorry i just read studies, the rest is of almost zero value, please just refer to studies, all studies on vit d can be found on vitamindwiki.com
what do you think about that article http://gettingstronger.org/2012/11/why-i-dont-take-vitamin-d-supplements/ long discussion there ..
no your pth is low already, you need to cut all calcium first, maybe you have too much of it or maybe vit k2 mk7 deficient too and then go with low dose 5000iu daily
cut dairies, increase low calcium water to 2.5l, start vit k2 mk7 200mcg daily and then after 10days of this start d3 5000iu daily.then retest vitd25oh, calcium and pth in a month
