After donating blood I get this information..
anti hbc ( igg + igm) positive
Hbsag negative
hbv dna negative.
Letter said I'm not a danger to anyone at this time.

- any thoughts on what exactly this would mean .. I am confused about all the info I am getting on the internet.
- am I contagious at this stage? Prob not according to the letter.
- and its not clear if in time my blood will no longer show this marker in tests? Or is it something that it will always show in tests ..
Doc's apptmnt in March. Want to learn as much as I can until then.

yes you are life time protected

you cannot doante blood or organs and must take antivirals in case you take immune supressive drugs for chemiotherapy, transplant and others that suppress immune system.always menthion to doctor that you had acute hbv

you are not infectious by sex or small cuts but there is a very small risk with a big blood contact
