,
My friend was on the treatment for 1 year.. It cost $100.000 Canadian. He was tired, sick and his liver was inflamed for a lot of the time. The drug worked. Even though it was a 50-50% chance of it working or not working. If it did not work his liver would be more damaged than it was. Risky move but worth it now. My friend at the time was 20.
The drug was called "Adefovir dipivoxil Injection".. It was approved in the US in 2002 where as in Canada it is not yet approved.
I hope some of this information maybe of value for you if not I'm sorry and best of luck.
Treatment method depend on yr Hep B status, liver condition and yr age. Injection provided you with finite treatment duration but the chances of cure still extremely low. Need to know more before before we could advise you.....
That was 2005. Please get more up-to-date info from your doctor.
so it will cost about 6337 for the whole therapy or part of?
Interferon has more side effects than antiviral drugs. So the treatment must be under close monitoring by your doctor.
Depends on your doctor. I have read 4 months, 1 year, etc.
may i ask how long that treatment was for
Around 2005 interferon monotherapy was about US$6337, not sure how much now.
