It's very good to see you, too, Cindee - and thank you so much for your kind words and your prayers. I am doing well - much better than I deserve. All of my sx's are very tolerable and managable. I will be doing shot #12 tomorrow and have labs (including first PCR since beginning tx) drawn on Wednesday.

You are in my thoughts and prayers as you head off to Duke this week. And I know that you will be taking all of 'us' along with you, as well.

May God's blessing and mercy be upon you and your family.

Well, Hi....I haven't been on in a few days, hubby has had the computer @ work and working overtime...LOTS...for the $$, and to be able to go to Duke w/ me on Wednesday. I  have some catching up to do!!!!!!! I've just been very fatiqued @ taking it easy..and thank goodness school is almost over...some nites I can't sleep, because I'm afraid my g.daughter will be late for school..and they aren't just counted as tardies...they have silent lunches and if too many tardies have to go to school for half a day on Saturdays at 10.00 a pop! As soon as school is out I can sleep as long as I want!!!!! YEAH!!!!

Chev, You are exactly right. I have been one to mention Christian, quite a few times, but I should say "higher power". TY for pointing that out. As long as we do believe in a "higher power", that's all that counts! And CONGRATS on your good news!!!! I love ya girl, Cindee

OHC, I hope things are getting better for you now. We've been through it w/ our kids haven't we? I hope you are feeling good these days. Glad I saw ya here!!!! Much Love, Cindee

berlynn, Hi Girl!!!! Haven't seen ya lately...hope all is well. You are a wonderful person w/ so much compassion! Love, Cindee

dh bill, I haven't been here much...so I wanted to wish you a Happy belated Birthday!!!!! Hope it was great!!!!! Luv Ya, Cindee

Susan400 Good luck on your bx on Monday, and TY for remebering me and my trip to Duke!!!! "We" will keep everyone informed!!!! (((HUGS))) Cindee

cuteus, hey girl, same feelings here on the posting as much as one can on a thread! I TRY to get everyone in....but sometimes I know I leave someone out. But Everyone please remember you ALL are in my prayers..nite@day!!!! I like the way you always speak your mind in such a caring way! You are one of a kind...very special! Bunches of love, Cindee

TMXJ, Hi and welcome....I've never spoken to you before. I agree w/ cuteus. Do get your GP to refer you to a pain specialist. Thank goodness we have their availibility these days. Mine has been the greatest! Best wishes and prayers, Cindee

hepcgetlost, Hey now...don't you go and get all depressed...LOL...I'm one to talk!!!!! This tx is heck most of the time and it does a number on your mind!!!! Please try to keep a possitive attitude..I lost mine @ times...really! Always remember whining IS ALLOWED!!!!!! That's what friends are for, to listen and to connect, and give you love and compassion from our "hearts". We're all in this together, AND WE DO UNDERSTAND! I also agree with Ambush 100%. We love you very much and we need to know when you are feeling down, so we can pray harder for you and lift you up to a "higher power". You will have a "special' prayer from me tonite! Much Love, Cindee

Galen, Hey girl, good to see ya here. I hope you are doing just wonderful these days!!!! You sure helped me through some tough times, and you were always so full of much needed info!!!! TY! As for the mult. postings,I've found that when I go to the "back" button, sometimes it takes me "too" far back and it just "grabs" my post and puts it up 2 or 3 x's. Just my 2 cents worth.....again happy to see you're still around. Much Love, Cindee

TnHepGuy!!!!! HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I sure have missed you being here. I haven't spoken to you in such a long time. You have been missed! You always had some of the greatest posts.  I'm so happy to see you're still "lurking"!!!! Stay with us, we still need ya here! BTW I go to Duke on Wednesday for a consultation on a clinical trial. I'll keep you all informed. I guess it will be a consultation...just in case...I'm packing a few clothes. I'll let everyone know as soon as I return!!!! I sincerely hope you are feeling well these days. Don't leave...Chev needs ya too!!!!!! Bunches of love and prayers to you, as alway!!!! Cindee

~~~~~~If I missed anybody...remember, before I lay my head down @ nite @ before my feet hit the floor in the mornings, I pray for all my Hep C family!!!!! Sincerely, Cindee~~~~~~~
Glenn P..... here's how liver failure happens:
first you get portal hypertension which makes your platelet count drop and your spleen get very big
then you get varices and/or ascites. you swell up like your pregnant
then you start sleeping all the time and start to take lactulose for thatt. If you don't take the lactulose you can get pretty bad- forget who you are or where you are, maybe go to sleep and not wake up.
WOW-- I think Galen just had a "FLASH BACK" from the RIBA. Galen, listen carefully- take 2 tylenol and lie down and everything will be OK in the Morning.
Just a reminder to the oldies and news flash to the newbies - We only get 6 new posts a day.  If you click on "Post a Question" and then change your mind, it is as if you had used the thread.  It is lost for the day.  Please don't click on that link unless you plan to use it.  If for some mind fogging reason you click on it and then totally lose your train of thought, post something anyway.  Maybe "Warning!! Brain fog Moment: Please use this thread 'cause I can't"
Glen_P:  Try medscape.com for your research.  You'll have to register on this site which is primarily for medical professionals.
Chevy:  I'm very happy for you with your 12wk PCR results.  I wish you continued sucess all the way to SVR,  God Bless,  Dave
It's gotten a little hard to get a post in around here but I'm still checking the board as usual.
I am glad for anyone to do research on hepatitis because the more education everyone is the better. Especially when so much more moneyis spent on R&D for other illnesses.
Here are some links. The first in particular looked useful at a glance.
googles 'encephalopathy'-328,000 sites in.27 sec.  If you are sick w/hep go to a hep site. if you are curious, educate yourself.  Liver failure is caused by many things-hep is just a minority of liver failure cases.  And encephalopathy is also caused by things other than hep.  So you're asking about many topics that sometimes are related w/one cause and some times not.
