hep b titer lab results... totally stressed!!!!

When I started school I was required to do hep B vaccines.. I did my first one 5/22/07 and followed with my second 7/17/2007 and my 3rd 2/5/2008 I waited and made sure that I followed all my dates according to the health dept in my state!!! I started on with a level 1 trama hospital and instead of doing boosters and what not they did titer tests.. I requested my results from my labs done on 11/19/12 today which is 11/29/12...

my hep b came back under normal result category stating its non reactive... and then I had an abnormal result for rubella IgG stating reactive AB...

What does this mean?!?!?! I am so nervous I feel sick!!! I deal with needles and biohazard on a regular basis!!! I have had multiple sex partners and also unprotected sex.. have never restuck myself with a dirty needle and I practice all PPE required in my line of work... and I have NO history of intravenous drug use!!! My stomach is in knots!!!
I was told in the clinic today that if I have contacted it somehow that my results would show this.... but also that I may just need a booster.. of course I was also told that this is primarily do to needles.. and not intercourse but I have read otherwise online!!

There were no results other than non reactive for hep b... And the LVN stated I had no immunity to hep b.

please post your hbv post vaccination results. They may have told you are negative for surface antigen but you may have a anti surface antibody present. Keep in mind that vaccinated people only have antibodies against the surface antigen. That is all that is needed  compared to people that have actually recovered from hbv. They are reactive against the core antigen as well. Some labs or doctors apparently dont know this and scare post vaccinated patients that they did not respond to a vaccine.

So - if you have anti hbs positive that means you have developed an immunity to hbv from a vaccine. Most people do respond to these vaccines I think it is like 99% . If for some reason you have not responded to the vaccine please see an immunologist and also find out the brand of the vaccine they gave you and whether or not  vaccines expiration date  has not expired when they gave it to you. In some countries that can be an issue as well.

Heaving Igg positive  to rubella means you have had it in the past. Igg antibodies protect us for life with most infections they neutralize viruses and bacteria.

Rubella igg ab reactive, means you had rubella in the past, has nothing to do with hepstitis.

sounds like you have antibodies for rubella - probably after you got your MMR shot.  Doesn't sound like you need to be alarmed.
