IF you are an adult then you will most likely clear the infection. (90- 95% of the time!)
Its only if you obtain it vertically which is through birth or as a child that the virus may go into chronic state. Which means your body is not able to fight off the virus and does not become immune. As a result drugs/treatment can be used to help bring your body to a state where it can be immune. Just may take longer.
