the test for liver function and survival is:
Methacetin Breath Test/C-phenylalanine breath test

do also check hepatitistechnology, it is run by the most expert researchers on hbv/liver so thay might tell you about this test and if their hepatitistechnology can help

now that i remember NAC (acetyl cisteine) prolonged survival in fulminant hepatitis, NAC is an antioxidant in their hep tech treatment, do start taking NAC immediately, it is also sold over the counter as antioxidant and for bronchitis.

I guess hep tech can help but i am no doctor, do contact them and maybe those researchers will contact the doctors in your hospital, i now their protocol is used in many hospitals in US/canada

no drugs have nothing to do with fulminant hepatitis.a low percentage of people gets this type of hepatitis in which liver is destroyed by immune system, hbv is eliminated in some of these but there is no liver left in a couple of weeks/months

if treated immediately by entecavir+immune suppressive drugs the liver can be saved but looks like this is not the case.fulminant hepatitis is linked to precore/bcp mutated strains and wild type usually makes no fulminnt hepatitis

there are no tools to say how bad liver function is and predict survival, all blood tests are very poor to measure liver function.there is only an experimental machine to predict mortality which measures the breath, it is the same machine for el.pilory bacteria you might run this test and check values in research conference 2010 in boston, they have reported some values, i posted the links in the community but that's not easy to find, if you send me a private message with your email i might send you all boston conference posters and then you search for that study

Why she got liver failure? Because of drug resistance?

it depends on liver function and antivirals to keep hbv und if still present

check Hepatitis Technologies by google, they have a protocol studied to boost immune function under cirrhosis and to reverse it if not too decompensated but do check with them because end stage cirrhosis might be similar to this case although fulminant hepatitis goes much faster than cirrhosis and is different from it

the protocol has been studied by DR. CHARLES LIEBER, DR. LORNE TYRRELL, DR. THOMAS ABSHIER, DR. PETER SCHMID, one of the most expert researchers on liver
