i am happy to see this is from china researchers, i also see hbv vaccination is mandatory in china too, looks like the only third world is US since also europe has vaccines mandatory forr hbv, maybe hbv drugs are mainly produced in US....i don't know.....anyway let's hope for this vaccine to become reality soon

They think HIV is curable Stefano?????  Wow!  That's really sad how ignorant people are, especially concerning HIV.  I think people have a "gamblers mentality" where they enjoy the thrill of taking chances with their lives.  I hear many here say "Oh well, she looks clean", not knowing that looks have nothing to do with what lies underneath.  Many feel that ignorance is blissful and "what they don't know won't hurt them.", but there are some very spooky diseases out there that can be spread sexually between people.  Education and a sound mind are much needed today.

If you want to clear a room, just say you have Hep B!  Seriously though, my ex is such an idiot (the one who gave this to me), that when they tested his behind for HIV and HBV and his HIV test was negative he was like "Well at least it ain't that!"  And when I ask him what happens at his doctor visits he's like "Nothing, they just said that when I have sex, use a condom." as IF someone wants to have sex with him!!!  He doesn't seem to think of this virus the way most people do.  I guess as long as he never suffered any symptoms (like I do / have), and as long as he can continue to stick his little infected penis into some unsuspecting woman he's happy.  He doesn't get that when you contract this virus they usually associate you with being highly "immoral" and a high risk of having a co-infection with HIV.  Thank God I didn't get both from him, one virus is bad enough....and very embarrassing to mention.

this means doctors are super ignorant because the main dronic infection cycle is mother to babies, only babies have more than 90% probability of cronic hbv and anybody i know got it this way, all others clear it
it is also true you might find more viruses on drug users but it is not the case of hbv and even hiv now is spread mainly on very young boys and girls because of the lack of safe sex, at least this is what is happening in italy since they thin hiv is curable

You are quiet right. Even here in the UK, the moment they come to know your are Hep B carrier, they want you to test for HIV. I could feel that they have associated this being homosexual, drug addict, sexual abuser etc. They dont realsie if anybody could get it innocently..

You're right about that Stefano, it's all about profit.  Spread disease, keep the doctors in business, and the pharmaceutical companies too.  The HBV vaccine started here in like 1989 I think, about 1 year before my first child was born, but I don't think the schedule of immunizations was the same as it is now so I'm in the process of testing (and possibly) re-vaccinating my now adult (18 and 20 year old) children (while they are still virgins).  You would think the doctors would offer the testing and vaccine to adults as well as part of the routine physical exam but they don't (but when I visited last month they gave me a vaccine for Diphtheria, Tuberculosis, Pertussis or "Whooping Cough", but NEVER before asked if I was vaccinated against HBV or offered the vaccination, knowing that I was sexually active.)  Like I mentioned before somewhere, I really don't think that they think HBV is a problem, and when they see a patient with it, they automatically assume you're a drug addict, a prostitute, homosexual male or sex with any of the above mentioned and THEN that's when they want to test you for HIV!!  NO ONE should have to go through the long process (and discrimination) of having this virus if it is completely PREVENTABLE!  If the people don't know about HBV and how it's spread (like they educate us about HIV), then the people won't request testing and vaccination...It's really pathetic to say the least how ignorant and unconcerned we can be in this country.  I will definitely be part of the solution by educating those I know about this virus because people deserve to know the truth and how to protect themselves.

the main problem in US is the way health care system works....if you have healthcare system free for anybody (even immigrants) the news can reach anyone and is easy to manage every thing and control viruses but if healthcare system is mainly based on profit it's a mess for the patients and normal doctors and even missing immigrants you spread many diseases
from here it seams something maybe changing a little with obama, here they started mandatory at the end of 80s at birth and at secondary school before sexsual transmission could be possible and after 20 years you see the results and this is a way to save money for the government since it is all free so cronic hbv or transplant is very expensive.
if everything is based on the profit the more you spread diseases or keep ignorance the more profit

Yes Stefano, you would think that the good ole' United States of America would make the HBV testing / vaccination mandatory for EVERYONE since in my opinion, EVERYONE is at risk because of how silent the disease can be.  I know here in California the vaccination is mandatory for children entering school, but testing and vaccination should be encouraged by the doctors for all adults as well. Unfortunately, the only way most of us find out about our status is when it's too late and we already have this disease.  The doctors are very ignorant about Hepatitis here in the U.S. and some don't really think it's a problem.  I think it should be mandatory at every yearly physical exam to test for the Hepatitis virus.  We have mobile HIV testing that gives results in 10 minutes but nothing to educate and test people for this potentially life threatening virus....shaking my head, shame on us!

often they call vaccines what it is not, there are many for cancer and the same pathways has been used on hbv probably, it is not the vaccine to prevent hbv
i think they also achieved hbsag seroconversion, hbe seroconversion is nothing and does not clear anything

Guys, I don't quite understand why this would work. After all, we have always (or for a very long time) had a few billion copies of the active ingredient that's used in these vaccines. I don't see how adding a tiny little bit more of it would help us in any way. Either I have grossly misunderstood something or some doctors are just playing the fool. They did this with ONE patient and this has already been reported by a news website.

On second thought, I think it is far more likely that the news website has grossly misunderstood something and have decided to publish it for hare-brained reasons of their own. I have seen newspapers do that several times.
