thank you so much!! yes i talked to my doctor already he said that the reason of my high ALT is from my BS(bloodsugar) he gave me glucophage tablet 2x a day and silymarin capsule, vitamins and i have to lose weight!!! regarding HBV im afraid to have another test again,. i just research what kind of food can decrease the virus or what vegetables are good for the liver,. i want a natural medication because i was afraid to take a lot of medicine,. maybe it will affect more on my health., im not a drinker i don't smoke also., thats why im thinking if i got this virus from having a TATTOO! anyway PRAYER is my best medicine i know with GOD nothing is impossible! i dont want to be upset or depressed i was thinking that i have to move on for my children.

"but i was just worrying if having hepa b is close to death? i mean how many years will it stay in my body? it will kill me soon or what?" - don't worry about that.  Whit hep b you can live along and good life if you monitory it closely. Even is hep B is a serious disease we can manage it. You have to  see your condition and after that to determine if treatment is needed or not.

as I mention, increase ATL  can be from other factors as well (over weight, or bloodsugar, or alcohol, or not enough sport, or medication, or ... ), so you have to discuss this with a good doctor to determine if the increase ALT is because of viral activity or because of something else and also to act responsibly regarding your infection and determine if treatment is needed or not.

Unfortunately this test result don't say to much. They say that you have a infection but not more, not even if the infection is chronic or acute. Increase ALT or AST can be from infection or from other causes (e.g. fatty liver, alcohol, ..)

Test "anti HBc IGm" and see the result, base on this result you will see if is chronic (non reactive) or acute (reactive)

If the infection is chronic, try to found a good doctor (specialized in HBV) for evaluation and future monitoring, as for other test I recomand you (like @PinoyHBVDNA already mentioned ) to discuss with the doctor the following ones:

- Fibroscan or biopsy (if Fibroscan is not available in you area) - to found out the actual liver status
- US to liver to found out if you have or not a fatty liver
- HBsAg quantitative if is possible
- viral load (HVB DNA PCR)
- other liver related tests could help (ALT and AST and if is posible also ALKP  and Bilirubin and ... )

Base on test result, a doctor should be able to advise you if treatment is recomanded or not and what are the next steps

also include ultrasound of your liver :)

and if available, try fibroscan/ liver biopsy

you have HEPB and your liver is getting damaged because normal max of SGPT is only 40 :)

but this data is incomplete, you should also get...

HBVDNA
HBSAG2 QUANT
HBEAB, HBEAG, HBSAB
SGPT, SGOT
