the person is unquaified, the observations sound from an ignorant even to me....not a doctor or researcher because i can clearly see many very very wrong observations and i am no doctor and no researcher

let's wait and see how it goes with this compound, i think somebody doesn t like it.....too early to make comments especially if you have no data from the trial to comment the drug

he talks about alt spikes...even an ignorant knows that the alt spikes with hbsag negativizations are the immune clearance, the same alt spikes leading to hbv clearance have been observed in the transfer of immunity by bone marrow trasplant, the difference between this and toxicity from a drug is very very clear.......those comments are pure rubbish to me and when you rubbish at least you have to put your name and qualification

Biography
Lei Chou has been an HIV/AIDS activist since 1988. As a member of the AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power (ACT UP) in New York, Lei helped organize demonstrations to demand housing for homeless people living with AIDS; the first National People of Color AIDS Activist Conference; and co-founded the Asian and Pacific Islander Caucus. In 1992, Lei served as the Founding Board Co-chair of the Asian and Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS, the first AIDS organization to serve the API community in New York City.

While working for the AIDS Treatment Data Network from 2001 to 2005, Lei collaborated with the Kaiser Family Foundation and the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors on the National AIDS Drug Assistance Program Monitoring Project. This partnership spawned Lei’s interest in domestic HIV treatment access, leading to his work organizing several grassroots coalitions addressing this issue, including the Save ADAP committee, the HIV Medicaid/Medicare Workgroup, and the Fair Pricing Coalition. Lei also served as a board member of the AIDS Treatment Activists Coalition.

In 2005, Lei began working as Director of Mobilization for the Community HIV/AIDS Mobilization Project (CHAMP). In this role, Lei helped organize national mobilization efforts including the Campaign to End AIDS and the Prevention Justice Mobilization. He built and maintained a national database of AIDS activists with over 10,000 members. Lei also collaborated with researchers, policy advocates, and community members to organize a series of trainings on HIV prevention research advocacy around the country.

Lei joined the Treatment Action Group’s Hepatitis/HIV Project in 2008. He works with both domestic and international activists, researchers, pharmaceutical industry representatives, and regulators on new drug development and treatment access for viral hepatitis, with a particular focus on viral hepatitis and HIV coinfection.

he talks exactly like liver specialist....., as i said on old posts the only ones i have found useful until now are researchers (the ones i met for now are brunetto and colombatto, you'll find their posters at almost any big int'l conference).
all the specialists met before made mistakes (made me reach cirrhosis too), wrong or old assumptions, not able to make personalized treatment strategies and so on.

i will see colombatto in december i hope they have found data on interferon+entecavir or tenofovir combinations since some of these trials have finished but i have seen nothing about it at this boston conference, they will start that combo trial soon in pisa and in many other hospitals in italy.
the very bad thing about these trials is that drug makers want all data to have complete control and even the hospital can t have the data on its own trial, really a crazy thing

We are so strongly expecting a miracle. :)
BTW, there is a new patent application in China, advocating the drug "Quanacrine" may be effective in HBV. However the evidence is not in patient but in vitro. This idea has been there for many years and proved to be unuseful. Hopefully there would be sth new.

i have posted the link to the conference poster, hope you ve seen that, there are all the scales per patients, very very detailed hbsag, hbsab, hbvdna, alt/ast

lee said bul....the poster is well done, the patient was not compliant but the data is presented too, the alt rise is small and it is immune clearance like for any drug when you start, it happens both for nucs or interferon.
all patients treated have low/normal alt/ast in super short time, there is only one hbe neg which is the one who serconverted faster

the best results possible in a very short time, i do hope they keep developping this compound which is the first broad spectrum antiviral (there is another one developped lately) it is not only for hbv but for other 10 or more viruses

if you can post in chinese forum too keep them updated about ntz results here on medhelp because cherrynancy is very busy and is not following forums anymore and i wasn t able to post there

The ntz results here are closely followed by the chinese forum since more and more HBVERs there pay attention to your test now.
I will update their results here for sure if I get any.
