Hbvdna/hbsag levels

Something reall worrying me. My hbvdna is low (below level of quantification) but my hbsag is 5000iu/ml.
I have been told my risk of hcc is very low & not considered for screening. I have also been told more chance of getting hit by a lorry or struck by lightening.
Aduiski on this site was quite sure it was a very low risk & thank you aduiski for everything.
What I need to know is given my levels is hcc risk higher because of virus integration compared to cccdna?
Not sure know what I am talking about.
Would somebody please explain in simple terms easy to understand.
Thank you

Hi Stef2011
I thought hbsag was bad, but you say nothing to worry about!. Being low hbvdna for a few yrs do I have a chance to clear either meds or alternatives, if so do you recommend black seed or others, please.

That is the problem I believe that I have somebody that does not know too much although I am told he is top man. My hbvdna is low NOT undetected never in 23yrs has it been more than 500. He said hbsag5000 just means virus is there & my immune system is working, but risk of hcc really concerns me although they say guidelines do not recommend screening for hcc. My gp or hep. doc will not refer me for a 2nd opinion which I really want.
Do you know of any top hepatologists in south of England?

he was talking about antivirals not immune modulators, you dont need antivirals your immune system is already making their job, you need immune modulators being hbvdna und you have 30% chances to clear and cure

you make peg for 12 to 24 weeks and see if hbsag goes down, if it will you keep it until cleared.you need a real liver specialist/researcher for this, the one you went to

Doc says I don't need treatment unless dna levels rise then on tenofovir.
Why hcc risk?

hbsag is non infectious and high on all carriers, if it was low you were clearing...nothing to worry about
if you want to lower it make peginterferon
