6 Years Post Tx Raised SGPT ....... HELP

I was SVRd in September 2009. Since then my SGPT is quite normal. 2 months ago i got infection in my Right hip joint and i hd to take antibiotics for 5 weeks. First week I was on IV Augmentin 1.2 gram thrice a day plus Oxidil (Ceftriaxone) twice a day and NSAIDs. After that i remained on oral 500 ciprofloxacin twice a day with Vitamin D3 + calcium for 4 weeks. im now off these antibiotics for last 2 weeks but im facing sever constipation and blood in stool with pain.

Today i was thinking about side effects of these antibiotics and NSAIDs on liver. i got checked by the way my CBC and LFT. CBC is quite normal but SGPT is raised to 95 (normal 10-43). im afraid why my SGPT is raised? is this sign of only liver damage or relapse????

i think there is relation between constipation and raised SGPT. When i first caught infection in 2003 my symptoms were constipation, fatigue, lack of appetite and my all bloods were normal only SGPT was raised. Now again my SGPT is raised and i have constipation. But this time i dont hv fatigue and lack of appetite. Can any body tell what should i do now? Should i re-check PCR ? or it will come down on its own?  Plz help

Antibiotics can cause constipation.  It fact, that is one of the side effects.
I believe a few weeks ago you were posting complaining of constipation.  As you were staying about....you have been taking medication.  If you have blood in your stools you should see a doctor.  You could have something else going on.  Medication can also cause your SGPT to go up.  Have you had your colon checked out?  If your are concerned you may have Hepatitis C again.... then get tested.  Then move on to finding out what is wrong with you.

I have never heard of the symptoms of exposure to hepatitis C being constipation.
